I’ve eaten here a handful of times and I’m never disappointed. The food is always incredible and their vegan remakes of food is always just as good if not better. There’s also a great drink menu and baked goods. Coffee is pretty good too. This is a perfect spot for any meal of the day, at any time of day. Dine in or take out.

Had my classic meal from The West, skirt steak & brussel sprouts with tots as an appetizer. Been eating this combo forever and it never gets old; in fact it's improved with time. While I have fond memories of the place in its "Wild West" days, some amazing concerts & comedy, I do like what it has become. Excellent cocktails, delicious food, and great service.

We started with the cauliflower wings in Korean BBQ sauce. OH MY GOSH -SO GOOD. The Brussels sprouts were also outstanding!! Vegan burger (add guacamole) plus waffle fries-very impressed. 🤤 This was the best vegan burger I have had to date. The Aztec Burito was also quite tasty + surprise plantains inside!! (No surprise if you read the menu). Will return. Would eat again. ❤️

I am not purely vegan (yet) but I am a friend of good food. For my birthday, my friend (who is Vegan) and loves introducing me to the splendid options of living vegan suggested this place. We’ve been to a few breakfast spots in DC and Maryland. This was probably my favorite thus far for breakfast. I loved my vegan brunch experience at Golden West Cafe. Went on an early Sunday, reservation already made so seating was efficient and we could request outside. By the time we left at 12 noon, there was a bit of a crowd and a wait for indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is about 80% vegan. I enjoyed the hot honey chicken and French toast (a substitute from the waffles and a special). My friend ordered the waffle and tots. Everything was really good. OMG - the chicken was amazing, crispy and the sauce clung to it in all the right places without making it soggy. The vegan French toast was really good. I can only imagine the non-vegan version given the really good batter, bread and syrup. The service was really friendly. My friend ordered the vegan Blueberry to go and said it was really delicious. The menu is very plentiful. I could see returning and trying another option off the menu and also enjoying the venue which has a lovely laid back vibe. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.

Tons of breakfast options. Vegan, vegetarian, and meat are all available. There's also a takeout window if the restaurant is full (which it usually is, especially around brunch time on the weekends).
Dining room is open until 10pm most nights, but you can also order food at the bar until midnight.
There is a whole gluten free menu with roughly 20 items on it.
Who knows..but I wouldn't eat there and if you do go make sure the dust from the ceiling doesn't fall on your food and make sure the seats a clean..i was there 4 years ago..had a bad experience..went back a couple weeks ago and now will never go bsck..its a dirty place
