Amazing… wow. The neighborhood sandwich was the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and the people were very hospitable. Was confused by the location at first, but the food and people completely made it up. Can’t miss this spot, or you’ll regret it!

visited the Ekiben in Hampden. I ordered the vegetarian tofu bun and broccoli. Soooo delicious. I really can’t describe the taste other than filling, crispy, yummy, and fresh lol. You have to try it for yourself. This location does not have seating (carryout only) and is located in the alley behind 36th. I doubled parked in the alley to pick up my order but there is also a free parking lot directly across from the entrance. The employees were jamming to music when I arrived and offered great customer service and smiles behind their mask. I highly recommend this place plus it’s partially Black Owned.

It was really hard to find at night so that was stressful but the food was pretty good. Definitely not a fan of the cheesesteak egg roll especially for the price. That was pretty nasty to be honest but the catfish sandwich was soooo good. My girlfriends tofu sandwich was also fire. Stick to the classics and you’re golden

Bird Box 10/10. Steamed buns are a better experience but overpriced for the amount of chicken you get so I'd say get one on the side just for the experience and get the boxes after. Pork option is very good, catfish was cold since I waited a while but it was also nice. tempura broccoli and red beans w/rice sides are both good. Lamb was good but also lamb is always oily so expect that. Meatballs were fantastic. I say if you get the bird box its definitely worth it since its 2 massive cutlets over a ton of rice. Also ask for some of the spicy sambal mayo on the side since its perfect to dress/dip anything in.

Most of their menu is gluten free, even the tempura broccoli. I regularly order the tofu brah bowl, which they make with a crispy cornstarch coating.
