I recently had to evict a long term boyfriend from my home. I was not sure where to turn, I turned to google and came up more than once with this law office. A warm and kind voice came over the phone. Her name was Mary Jo and she gave me a sympathetic ear and much needed advice/information to start my process. Ii was helpful and has worked out and I cannot thank the office enough.

Mr. Hachey and his staff are extremely professional and Mr. Hatchey will work hard on your case. I’m extremely pleased how he handled my case and Mr. Hatchey resolved the issue without having the expenses of court. Highly recommend Mr. Hatchey services to anyone who has a real estate issue. Hands down, the best!

I called the Law Offices of Stephen K. Hachey seeking an experienced real estate attorney for advice on a partition action. After my initial consultation with Mr. Hachey and using his advice, I was able to convince the opposing party to quitclaim deed the property to Father .

I called Mr. Hachey to get advice on a real estate purchase. His office staff got me scheduled for a callback the same day and he called right on the dot. He was able to answer my question and give me a path forward for my concern. My family and I are very grateful, and will be calling him again for all future FL real estate matters. Thank you again for your assistance!

Our office would be happy to set up a free consultation in order to discuss the documents needed to review in order to provide the correct legal advice.
There are no legal issues with a foreign individual purchasing a property in Florida. However, there may be FIRPTA tax issues when selling. I recommend contacting Susan Poskus, who is an international tax accountant. She can advise on best way to structure the purchase tax-wise.
If still married and/or ever was homestead property, then, yes, you would be required to sign. Please call me at 813-549-0096 for a free phone consultation.
I am a licensed Florida Real Estate Attorney. In Florida, a lawyer is not required but recommended to sell vacant land. I recommend contacting a New York Real Estate Attorney for New York requirements.
