DO NOT GO HERE. I came here bc I was worried about my puppy’s hips. The doctor barely looked at my dog and said I’ve never seen anything like this before, this is neurological. I recommend leaving your dog overnight for review. I asked the cost and it was Not an amount I was prepared for. Then the dr pressured me and said if this was my dog I would do it. I did not move forward because my gut was telling me this didn’t sound right. I left distraught that something was actually wrong with my dog. I took my pup to a different vet, much more loving and caring and the dr said he looked great and that when he gets bigger he might have some hip joint issues but other than that he is a healthy dog. Fast forward. My six year boy is healthy and thriving, he takes joint supplements to try and keep those hips healthy but still going strong. I really can’t believe this place is still in business. They are cost effective yes but I’m guessing they make up for that by requiring unnecessary procedures. Why become a vet if you don’t love animals.

I only initially came here because two separate people I know have recommended this place. After my experiences here, I can safely say that I will never recommend this clinic to anyone. They're cheap, but it's at the expense of quality care. My first experience here was okay. I went in to get my dog's mouth checked. During this visit, they found that he had an ear infection and had his ear treated, for which he was put under anesthesia. Although they did receive my consent before proceeding, I was hesitant since some dogs never wake up from them. I asked if it was absolutely crucial, and they said it was because my dog was too energetic. Thinking back on it, I think it was their way of being lazy and charging me more. As a 5"2 girl, I am able to force medication on my dog by myself without sedating him. Thankfully, my pup recovered from the anesthetics by the next day, but it was clearly very difficult for him. Whoever I spoke to on the phone also told me to never clean my dog's ears, but I call that bs since other vets do recommend it. Moreover, my dog has redeveloped ear infections since his treatment, and I have personally managed to treat it by following protocols online. For my next visit, they prescribed a medication (carprofen). Over the phone, I asked if there are any side effects I should know about. The person who I was talking to responded, "there are none." I was blindsided and repulsed by the lack of knowledge or care from this staff. Any average person knows that every drug has a side effect. Go to Google and search "carprofen," and the following is the first thing that shows up: Adverse reactions may include decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, dark or tarry stools, increased water consumption, increased urination, pale gums due to anemia, yellowing of gums, skin or white of the eye due to jaundice, lethargy, incoordination, seizure, or behavioral changes. During this visit, they pushed the heartworm snap test, even though I still had a dose left from my last box. So I figured I'd need it anyway and gave them the 👍. After the test, they told me to order heartgard asap. I wasn't told why exactly, so I assumed I could just order the 12 pack after the last dose from the previous pack was finished. I made an order from Chewy, and they didn't approve of my order for at least a week (perhaps longer). The day after Chewy contacted me that they wouldn't be able to send out my order since my prescription wasn't filled, the vet contacted me about how they couldn't legally approve my order. It wouldn't have been so infuriating, had they just explained everything in advance and gotten back to me sooner than Chewy. It's also incredibly difficult to communicate with this clinic since they are short-staffed and don't have voice-mail set up. Moreover, if they tell you they'd call you back, expect it to take anywhere from 3 to 27 hours. Overall, I've had many enough experiences before I've finally learned that they're cheap for a reason. I regret not reading more reviews before deciding to come here. Extremely unprofessional and understaffed.

my neighbor recommended this place because of the prices.....Went here to get antibiotics For mastitis infection associated with a mammary gland tumor and checked for second opinion for surgery prices on my 11year old dog. I was very dissatisfied at the methods of care they used and never met the vet face-to-face , was not allowed back with my dog unless I paid an extra $20 for The Visit. My my dog was left in a kennel with a compromised immune system for 5 hours and when I received her back They were trying to sell me nail clipping groom which I had done 2 weeks earlier and she didn't need. Although the surgery would have been cheaper they gave me no medication for her infection unless I paid them a $100 more for blood work and refused to give me Antibiotics otherwise...even precautionarily or preventative Knowing I had shared I did not have the extra money to pay for blood work . When I called them to notify them my dog got sick they tried say she didn't get sick there and tried charging me another exam fee to see and give medication for what she caught in this office. They got her sick...and want me to pay again for them to make it right? .so much for caring for the animals well being..the worst part is the treatment coordinator said the vet who I never saw Recommended a rabies vaccination which I allowed not knowing that it is not advised in my dog's condition. When I called 2 other vets to get a emergency appointment And 2 other veterinarians concurred that rabies vax is not advised due to her tumor diagnosis, age and the fact that she's already had 2 other rabies vaccinations.....so why did this place recommend one after also the same was diagnosed there THIS PLACE Stinks!... I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I called an emergency veterinarian because my regular Had no appointments and was able to get her in to Newport HARBOR animal hospital..who isn't an er vet but got me in the next day after her symptoms popped up .👍 Dr wind rocks at Newport Harbor Animal Hospital everyone...they treated my dog for Kennel cough that she caught at this facility a week prior. She went home with all the meds she needed until I can get the tests fir her mammarys. I had to

Best vet clinic around! I have 2 very large sensitive dogs and the staff is amazing with them. Ive been to many vets over the years and Dr. Jaramillo is hands down the best and prices can't be beat. Thank you Dr. Jaramillo and staff

Yes! I have had my pet microchiped a couple moths ago. The cost was reasonable.
I don't know for sure but you can call them and ask.
The cost is $25 for exam. The most important issue here is that Dr Lori J does not indicate over treatment EVER!! Her laid back approach and caring nature truly puts the animals and pet parents at ease!!!
We waited about 2 hours to see the vet. I'd arive early and check in. If you live close have them call you and return when they call.
Assuming that's a question, I recommend calling the office during business hours and asking them.
