Sedation medications are given orally to provide relaxation with the ability to respond. Some patients fall asleep during sedation and can easily be awakened by a gentle shake or nudge. The medications may also leave an amnesia effect with patients having little to no memory of the procedure. Sedation dentistry does require you to have a driver and we require a consultation prior to appointment.
