Pretty cool to check out if you're in the area. We came in the winter and the access road was literally just a layer of ice, so decided not to walk/drive it and drove up to the side of the highway instead. Looked like it may be a better attraction to visit in the warmer months.

Excellent place to visit. Also there are picnic tables and fire pits & grills and camping is permitted.

I feel that I got extremely lucky on my trip to the Austin dam show. If it's not the last rock show though ya might wanna consider that it should be. There was nearly no structure, I couldn't tell who worked there, and overall it felt like a fend for yourself kind of deal. I guess I'm just disappointed, this place has so much potential but maybe the state of this event comes from the impact to the world from the pandemic. Thanks for the fun but honestly this place just feels like a giant cash grab. I could go on but I honestly just hope it gets better.

The park is definitely worth the stop if you're in the area. The park is nice and well maintained. The ruins of the dam are really cool, with a bit of local history (and some lessons on how not to build a dam). The huge chunks of aggregate in the concrete says a bit about how poorly engineered this thing was.
