Huge shout out to Gary the security officer out front. My husband and I have been trying to get an appointment for months every time we call its just no answer or we are on hold for hours ( not kidding) and get hung up on. Today my huband just decided to go he explained our frustration. At first they said appointment only my husband explained the situation. One of the employees must have heard and they were able to get him in right away. The employee who helped my husband was very nice. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because the phone service is absolutely awful. It has taken 2 years to get my children social security cards nobody should wait on hold for hours only to be hung up on. The enployees and Gary were super nice.

I've called Park Avenue SSI office since March 4th and today is March 7th 2022 I called again all hours now their phone doesn't ring? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes.
I need a copy of my SS card what's all needed and I need a copy by Monday can you please help me with this issue
It can take anywhere from 4 to 6 months if not longer to know if you're approved or denied.
It depends on what you are there for,but generally you dont need an appointment. You go to the front desk, tell them what you are there for, and they will give you a ticket number. You then wait till your number is called.
I need to make an appointment so I ask for the phone number, thank you.
You can be eligible for either both federal and state to equal your benefit. Or just the federal amount. Call the local office in that state to confirm.
Go into office with birth certificate and marriage certificate, fill out change of name form and all done.
Yes you can you better off to other wise you will be their all day
Can take up to 90 days. If your owed backpay for ssi they split that into 3 payments. Ssdi you will get it in 1 lump sum payment. Monthly checks up to 90 days as well and first check will be on 3RE.
Yes, I myself just rented a low income apartment the size of a house and I was just approved for ssi for my disability.
The Victorville office does not have a straight phone line, they refer you to the Main Line; 1-800-772-1213 I hope this helps you 😉
Yes., you should check in with them and provide your new address.
@MauroReynoso First, you're going to need your social security card /proof of tax information, license or State ID, and employment information /documents. You also can check online at:ssa. Ca.gov
No
All I know as ADA myself, the supplemential ssi letter income is mailed to you free. ADA is aka disabled people. They mail it through mail person. The fax, I have no idea. If I was in your shoes I would call and ask ssi
Yes but be best to have an appointment
Yes if the 1st falls on a weekend you will get your check on the Friday before.
You need to go to Social Security and show your face waiting a long ride and talk with a representative
You actually can walk right in, they will give you a number & they will call your number by order. Typically, the wait times are not long at all. They have several windows plus Social Security Case workers that handle issues also in the back office area.
Dont know this person
Need to Change Your Name on Your Social Security Card? Marriage document; Divorce decree; Certificate of naturalization showing a new name; or. Court order for a name change.
Go to Ssa web site.
You might need to call them and ask i dont know the # or i would give it to you sorry
The benefits are called "Social security Disability or SSI". If they are working, a Licensed Doctor has to determine the individual Medically blind, also the Dept' of Motor Vehicles will also be notified of this Disability as well.
@Manzanita No, they will be closed. President's Day is a Federal holiday, so all State & Government Offices will be closed.
Andrew Garcia If you are cornflour receiving SSA, you will hand Medicare. But if you are looking to apply for Medi-Cal, you would have to apply at C4yourself.com but be sure to enter your county alright. Good luck!
Well the only way to receive Medicare is if you are receiving SSA our SSI & I believe you have to be on SSA for 2 years before you can begin receiving Medicare unless you are over 55, if you are, you should be able to get it right away. Now if you are on regular SSI, I am not certain you are eligible f to receive it, you will have to apply for Medi-Cal through the County Social Services Dept'.
I really don't think so!
@LightBearerofChrist777 They open up at 9:00 AM. Wednesday's hours are different: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (9-4PM) & Wednesday (9-12:00 PM) Sat & Sun (closed)
Birth certificate and drivers license or CA identification
@StephaniePerkins I am not certain about whether or not they require your birth certificate for you to do a name change,I believe that if they do require it, it's because they need proof that that was your maiden name. So to be honest, I would suggest to pay the fees to get your B.C. at the Hall Of Records prior to going down to Social security. So I just checked the website and it states you need the correct identification, so your best bet is it go on their website and download all necessary forms @ www.ssa.gov/ca
If they haven't been receiving benefits for more than a year, they can reapply. It starts over. File online or call to make an appointment.
If it falls on a holiday they usually send it before the holidays
She actually can, but it would have to be through In-Home Supportive Services, you can go thru your local Social Services Dept. Many blessings and best wishes to your Father dear. I am cancer survivor myself and I know the challenges you have to face. May God heal your Father and uplift him in every way possible, your Mother as well....
yes there is..have to ask the office..
And
Yes
Usually the state reports it to SSA. May not be a need to report.
It always takes up to 14 days
What dear Lin said, I would do that. I would let police department and social security #1 know about this fraud situation. In prayers dear neighbor
You can set an appointment or just walk-in will take about 45 mins either way
They should be open. No lunch closure the day I was there.
I didn't need to. They already knew my age, but I'm on SSI, so maybe they knew because of that. I guess it couldn't hurt to make the appointment.
Well I will agree that there are people who scam the system, that said in the case of our family who have medical needs that prevent us from actually using the workforce and having discrimination because of those medical needs causes us that be on aid for them.
Yes but appointment only
If you go the office there a 1800 number. Or there will be a security at the door to provide information
I'm not sure but probably most government offices have them but the last time I was there it was very fast service very few people were there you must wear a mask
It took me 2 days to get a call back. It was someone from the victorville office
How can I find out if someone is using my social security number?
No only with appointment
No not yet
You will have to call and make an appointment. When you go for your appointment, dont be alarmed if there no cars in the parking lot. Just wait for your time in your car or at the front door. The security guard will open the door at the appointment time. Make sure you dont forget your mask.
Hey Vicki, You can go to SSA.GOV and search the info you can do it straight from the website. Is an article from experian.com and it will tell you what you need you may need to sign up for a "mySocialSecurity" account. https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/how-to-replace-a-social-security-card/
You can wait in line (walk in) or log on to mysocialsecurity if you dont have an account you can set one up and it will navigate you from there to get one mailed to you.
Its probably for you medicare part B
They open at 8 i think, your better off as a walk in. Just get there early
no direct office number have to go down to the office or call the main number.
Call the number on your card or Social Security and they will explain to you about part A, B, C & D medical and your current plan. Sounds like a (SOC-Share of Cost) on your Med Plan. Good luck
Driver's license birth certificate and proof of address
Go to the home supportive services and they will direct u to the police station to get a live scan.. Once she has that she's able to go to HSS to get hired to work as ur worker
Yes
You can go to SSA.gov, and at the bottom of the page under 'resources' you can select 'contact us' then under 'ways to contact us' you can select 'email us' it will take you to a page where you can enter your email and message they reply to that email. https://www.ssa.gov/agency/contact/
Yes they will be open
Hi @JulieGarcia Anytime a parent that owes any child support, they under California's disability laws fall exempt to not having to pay child support because they are considered: #1) disabled & #2) low-income & there are laws that protect them from having to pay. Now, if they become better and begin to work again, then their Child Support case will then be re-opened and it will then be reported to the State immediately. Good luck,I hope this helps you!
No only Social Security Cards @alexzlynx
Government issued I.D and maybe birth cert if you have one. @alexzlynx
No. Monday-Friday 9am-4pm Make an appointment if you can. The wait is about 2 to 3 hours if you go early. Best Of Luck @AlexzLynx https://soundcloud.com/alexzlynx/stfu
@ PamelaWilliams You certainly can get your SS card at the Victorville Office. You will need to full out a form and provide your drivers license & I am not sure if you need your birth certificate or not. You also can do it by mail.
Contact In Home Supportive Services. You can google a local contact for the county you're in.
https://secure.ssa.gov/emailus/ I don't know the fax number but this is their email
No, you just go as early as possible
Yes, they are open on Friday's except if it is a holiday.
Go in in person and ask. Make sure you get the name of who you talk to.
@TeriBowers I do believe you have to have their social security card, along with a birth certificate or some other firm of identification. Now if your Mother is trying to receive survivor's benefits and she was at one point his payer, then she may not need all of that documentation. I hope you will get help and best wishes!
U might ha ve to h azad an evaluation
I'm thinking you'd make an appointment. ( for Shorter wait time!) Then go in and get it in writing! In other words fill out the correct form and sign.
Waiting can be from 45 minutes to over an hour or more certain days.
It all depands how much amount of money they give u , and how many years u have work though out your hole life
Maybe try the S.B. County Health and Human Services Dept. It could also be TANF (Transitional Assistance) Office, where you get Welfare, Foodstamps, and "MediCal".
Report it asap to ssi, also have tenant go into ssi with someone else to become their payee. If current payee already spent the money though, ssi will not replace it.
