They only do float trips on the weekends and the cabins are really outdated and kind of gross. There were lots of small things like the TV only getting 5 channels or the cabin only having a single roll of toilet paper. Also, pretty sure the cabins don't have modern safety features as is probably required of a business that puts people up for the night. The shower had no handles or texture in the bottom of the tub. It's just a matter of time before someone slips and sues the campground into bankruptcy. It's old and rundown but it is on the river and there is a pool.

The campground itself is ok. The bathrooms pool and kids play area not so much. They all could use a little upgrading.

My aunt said she bought into Deer Run, so her family has a guaranteed spot. Apparently this company used to be bad back in the day, but they’ve taken on accountability and upped security and standards. I didn’t interact with any staff myself, but the environment was great!! The water was so clear and clean! The beach we set up camp at was clean, and people cleaned up after themselves. It was a nice place to spend an afternoon with the fam during a summer day.

Yes, there are river front sites. The cabins are off the river slightly however. Our group had a place close enough to the river that we walked down with our own tubes, put in and float. They picked us up and delivered us back to the campsite. They were courteous and helped gather coolers, etc. at their designated take out.
Store opens at 8am on the weekend. 9am during the week. After Labor Day it’ll be limited hours based on reservations.
I can’t imagine you could fish for anything on this section of the river due to the enormous amount of float/boat traffic.
