Great hole-in-the-wall (that’s a compliment). We look to stop at unique restaurants when we travel, and we found this gem. Great sandwiches and we had in depth conversations with Dad himself. We will be back even though it’s 20 minutes out of the way. Totally worth it!

For those unfamiliar with Dad’s, one could think - “What’s the big deal about this little hole in the wall restaurant? Why are all these people lined up out the door in a strip mall for a sandwich?” But make no mistake my friend, this isn’t just any ol’ sandwich shop. It has some of the best cheese spreads in Kentucky, or maybe even in the US - or the planet perhaps…it’s sooo good - just saying. Ordered the Smoky Pimento BLT for lunch (pictured here). A little slice of heaven - it did not disappoint. I recommend doubling the amount of pimento cheese though. Crazy good sandwich.

This is the best sandwich I have ever had!!! I came here today with my son who is a freshman at UK who raves about this place. The owners and every employee were some of the nicest people I have ever met! They explained the history, the process they go through to carefully craft every sandwich and recommendations! I had the number 3 but before I leave I have to go back for the Reuben. Thank you for a delicious meal and wonderful experience! Now please open one in Chicago!
