Told me I needed a smog test but didn't because the vehicle was pre 1975. Went to Goleta DMV and no appointment, no wait and fast correct service. I will always choose Goleta for my DMV needs.

Very friendly and helpful employees. They deal with the pressure of helping people who only come in when they have to. I applaud anyone who works in such a high stress environment especially when they still makes me feel welcome and cared for.

Yes I know, DMV is kind of like purgatory for all of us. But I must say this visit was actually not bad at all. I have struggled over the last month to get a replacement driver's license using the website and telephone. All to no avail. The website, after filling out multiple forms, simply announced it could not give me a replacement but gave no reason why not. The chatbot effectively did the same, leaving me stranded with no answer. The telephone call computer told me they would call me back if I wanted, and when I decided I didn't want that dropped the call. Then I called back and told the computer to have them call me back, and they said they would in 6 hours at 4:39 p.m!! Seriously? In 6 hours? I set an alarm for that time but an hour earlier, when I was tied up doing something else, of course, they called. And I missed it. So I was near the DMV, stopped in, and despite COVID only waited 5 minutes to get into the building and 5 more inside to complete a form on a computer with a 8-digit number, then returned outside, got an appointment, went back inside and sat for 10 minutes. The older gentleman that took care of me was understanding and even light-hearted. I walked away with my problem solved.

Showed up just before opening. There was a line, halfway around the building. It moved quite slowly at first opening. I'd hang back a bit next time. Good news was you could receive a text, rather than you having to hang-out inside. The people working there were nice. I'm sure it's not an easy place to work at. There was a (Probably) homeless girl in the line just in front of us. No mask (08-25-21) No shoes. Had to guide her all through the processes. Regardless of social status, we ALL have to deal with those evil crooks at DMV at one time or another! Ha!Ha! 👹🇺🇲

I had a phone call from dmv
Yes, the Santa Barbara DMV is open. Early morning is usually very busy and they are not taking new appointments, but walk-ins are welcome. You must have all of your documents together and go in to the DMV to get a real ID. They won't give you one online.
Be sure to bring everything but the kitchen sink. I had to leave and come back just to wait again. No appointment needed.
I don't know. Though if I am able to get an answer, I'll post it here.
It's a risk for failure without an appointment ! You'll wait at least 45 minutes . they're doing there best but I would make an appointment for a successful mission . "GODS SPEED BROTHER"
Do you mean real, certified, copy as in not the original but still an official document? Cause a photo-copy won't do
It requires a VIN, or at least the license plate. And then it has to be in your name or no information can be given to you.
Misdemeanor DUI is 1 year, Felony DUI is 3 years in California.
Go online dmvca to find out
You have to check with DMV
Like Michelle P says bring sunscreen and also a fold up chair or blanket for the grass they have you wait on if you go to the dmv web site and they don't accept your new appointment and remember to also free up a few hours for the wait and charge your cell phone, maybe pack a lunch it's ridiculous. Oh yeah they cut the line off at 4:30pm unlike their listed closing hours at 5pm so get their early!
Online or buy phone
Yes, most of the times they have a books in the front door. Shelf
Just go online its the best way of doing it
hope this link helps: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/vehicle-registration/titles/title-transfers-and-changes/
Gotta wait outside in the front till your number is called. You can still make an appointment. ( I personally went 3 weeks ago )
I don't use your plates they use your Vin number
Its D M V Call early, not at 4:30 pm and website is DMV.CA.GOV
Appointments can be made online. Here is the link https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/dmv/appointments
Was disappointed. Had to file a civil rights complaint. DO NOT TAKE A DRIVING EXAM AT THIS LOCATION.
Fill out a Reg form 343 (can get it on the website or in the office) and go into the office. I believe it's $22 too replace tags.
Take care of your change of address online. No need to have anything mailed. www.dmv.ca.gov
If the record was given from a government agency, yes. You can use any mail that has your name and address to be sure as well.
$ 22 must fill out form REG 227
You should be able to. The appointments are months in advance
Last appointment will be 3:40 pm
fill out Reg 156 form and pay $22 at the office
No only Ventura or San Luis Obispo office
yes the form is REG 195 you can find it at dmv.ca.gov make sure the form does not have any mistakes
Just show up, appointments are mostly taken
Yes. If within 6 months it will have the same expiration date. If prior to 6 months ot rounds down so you lose a year of validity
I think you can only do it in person at the DMV. The CA DMV is very outdated with its internet policy.
Yes
Lost my driver's license. How much will cost me for renewal
I can't help you can just walk into the DMV and do it without an appointment
She probably has to wait until she gets her i94 or green card
