It's been awhile since I've been to a large retail bookstore like B&N. Everything seemed orderly, pretty clean, and quiet, but the store didn't give me a fresh feeling. Probably because the carpet looked old and dirty with large stains in a few areas. Maybe I'm being picky with giving them only 4-stars, but the service was 5-stars. I liked that the environment felt comfortable to peruse each aisle undisturbed or I could find a spot to enjoy a book. I really appreciate the attendant stationed near the kiosk going out of his way to find a book I was searching for.....good customer service. I wasn't "looking" for help, but I was being a typical guy who was lost and didn't want to ask for directions LOL. When I approached the kiosk, the attendant introduced himself and politely asked if he could assist me anything. We never found the book on the shelves, but he checked several possible locations in the store rather than stopping after going to the shelf the search engine said the book should be. He also provided options to order the book and have it delivered to me or to the store.

I usually only come here for the manga selection but I love that it's well organized, clean ,and quiet. The staff is always friendly and helpful if needed too.

It's exactly what you've come to expect from Barnes & Noble. A clean and well organized bookstore with a subtle smell of coffee in the air run by a very friendly and extremely efficient staff. It's kind of hidden just a block away from the Burbank Mall but most definitely worth the quick walk.

For some reason this store always has what I'm looking for when all the other Barnes don't have it in stock. If Barnes wants to enter the 21st century it'd be really helpful if they improved their website to let me know if a book is in stock at certain locations on a Mobile device, and tell me what section it is so I don't have to hunt down a staff member to be told they can order it at a higher price and longer wait than Amazon. Otherwise my wife and I love going to Barnes and noble.
