Cool design selection(!), but, they just resell Chinese import stuff and brand as their own, then sell for 2x what they paid! Don’t even try to hide it. The original product tag is still inside of the box, though they put a plastic little case that says the product was made by Starscovers. Terrible customer service too! No response to emails when trying to buy, then took more than a week of calling them on the phone to get an image of installation instructions - which I’m glad I got in advance because no instructions came with delivery All their products are DingDian seat covers!! DingDian will sell online for as low as $50. The covers I got were originally maybe $150 max with free shipping and fast delivery, but Starscovers told me the design was their own and they priced them $300 online, reduced it to $220, then charged $25 shipping which took more than a week. So they’re in fact a merchants and not designers. Considering they likely have a bulk discount already, that’s at least a $70 up charge for anyone who’s buying locally. That’s a pretty big take away, and I wouldn’t be so bothered if they’d told me up front it wasn’t their design, or of it didn’t take a week just to get the thing ordered, and then a week for delivery. Update since owner response: “First,” do not sweat this as a personal matter or a front against your business - it is a call to do better, and it is fair that other people have adequate expectation Your hostile response here has not helped your case. I appreciated the emails you sent before responding to this review, where you pulled links from where you bought the products and showed the little money you made off the transaction with me because of high cost of shipping and offered to accept a return, but before I could alter my review or respond to your earlier messages, I got your most recent message demanding me to take down my google review and then saw your google review response here. If you want a better review, than pose as a merchant and not a custom designer; I repeatedly asked if the covers were custom or another brand resold and you claimed they were your own. As far as $300 price tag; that is the price on your website, but then it’s crossed out and replaced by “discounted” $200 Had you been this direct and responsive to my business before I let others know what to expect when shopping with you online, then maybe there wouldn’t be an issue I bought these both as gifts, but the material is not premium enough to bother. I had a much better experience through amazon, where I was sent a more luxury product for less money in much less time. I appreciate that you have shipping costs, and that you have overhead, but it is the way in which the business claims to interact that is the issue. Wrong expectations. Also, for online retail, maybe make shipping free instead of flat rate and just raise each item’s price a little (more appealing, and maybe you’d actually get more of your shipping back) If you don’t want to do online business, and offer proper information in response to people‘s request, than maybe you should do local customers only and not have online shopping cart ALSO YOUR ONLINE CHECK OUT IS SO MESSED UP IT CHARGED ME AND PLACED THE ORDER WHEN I WENT TO CLEAR THE CART. IT ALSO PUT IN DIFFERENT SHIPPING DETAILS THAN I HAD ENTERED
