Very helpful. I ordered sympathy flowers over the phone. They were delivered the next day. The entire transaction was easy and trouble free.

I visit Santa Barbara once or twice a year usually to visit the cemetery. Riley's Flowers are always so very helpful in providing me with the best flowers and arrangements for my visit. They make up the bouquets, cut the stems and wrap the flowers for the trip. Always friendly and helpful.

As beautiful as my pick up bouquet was, I can't help but give them 1 star for a horrible customer experience. Upon arriving for my pickup (that I had set the day before), I was not greeted or welcomed when I walked in. One lady was helping another customer at the register and another was in the back. I'm patient, so I just wandered around until someone acknowledged me. It took about 5 minutes before the lady at the register greeted me and apologized for "not seeing me walk in" when we clearly made eye contact when I first arrived. This is when the lady in the back decided to finally acknowledge me and ask what I was there for. I explained I had a pick up and so she went to the back fridge to look for my arrangement. She comes back out saying, "That's weird, they aren't in here. Was someone else supposed to pick them up?" Interesting question since... why would I be there in the first place? She hastily comes up with a petty explanation, "maybe the delivery driver accidentally took it. I'll remake your flowers right now." Not once did she even apologize for the mishap. She barely even took accountability for it... just blamed it on the "delivery guy". In quotes because the "delivery guy" wasn't even present to defend themself... Sorry delivery guy, but seems you may be blamed for anything that goes wrong in store. Well, I waited for her to remake my flowers which were meant to be a quick pick up (again, I ordered & paid a day in advance to avoid exactly this). When she finally gave me my order, she says "thanks have a great day" as she places the flowers on the counter and walks away, again, avoiding any sort of eye contact. I'm just shocked at a business to be in this industry, where the core principal of gifting flowers is to express thoughtfulness and consideration. However, I experienced none of that during my visitation at riley's flowers (a business that doesn't practice what they preach, go figure). The flowers were for my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. I wasn't going to let this rude lady ruin my mood so I left and moved on with my day. Later, I came to visit the reviews to see if there were others who had a similar experience, or if it was just an off day for the staff. To my *surprise*, I am certainly not the only one. So I decided to write this review to strengthen their feedback. Surely, I will not be back any time soon. There are plenty of other local flower shops in the area that are worth supporting. TLDR; If you want flowers, they have a wide assortment. If you want to support a local business that embodies the product they sell, please go elsewhere.

!!! AMAZING SHOP !!! The team at Riley's saved the wedding day! The flowers we had ordered showed up dying and awful. A local told us about this shop that still sells flowers by the stem inside (one of the best things ever so you can make your own bouquet and arrangements!). The staff was friendly and generous. Their flower quality was GREAT and they let us take what we needed and when they did not have one or two things they pointed us in the right direction for more. I could not recommend a better shop.
