I have been coming here for almost 2 years now. I got my counselor after being here for about 2 weeks and I am extremely happy with her. First of all, when I saw she was a older woman, I was thrilled! It's difficult for most of us to take orders let alone take them from a younger person! 2nd, she's just amazing. I have been to quite a few clinics over the years and this one is the 2nd best. I say that because of bivalley and Dr John McCarthy. He is the very best there is. He's retired now so here I am and happy. If my counselor ever leaves however, I don't know..... I see in the early morning, when folks are trying to get to work, they really should have all 3 windows open. It can be frustrating sometimes and no one is at their best at 5 am!

Was doing great. Up to monthly take homes, no dirty UA's the entire time, good counseling. Unfortunately, after the pandemic restrictions lifted, the staff there has spent the last 3 months systematically taken everything away. Then I missed a day due to incompetence on their part and they turned me away. Lodging a formal complaint as soon as I can.

I'm very happy with my treatment at Aegis, the staff are very nice and make me feel human when I go in not just some junkie that is dirt. My counselor is the best and she listens to me not just because it's her job I truly think she cares. as I believe the others from front ladys to nurses all are very nice always have a kind word to say and they just make it easy to get the help I need. I will never regret the day I walked into Aegis and asked for help, they have been helping me every step of my recovery. Thank you Aegis for saving my life. My counselor Julie is the reason I'm doing so well, I believe if she was not my counselor I would have a very hard time doing my weekly counseling sessions. I have really bad anxiety to the point that I do not leave my house, the only time I leave is for my my counseling every week. She is very easy to talk to and she just makes me feel that she's just not doing her job that she really cares about you and wants to help and she really does. I enjoy talking to her every week. Thank you Julie for helping me through some of the hardest times of my life, you have been wonderful.

The staff is amazing, so super supportive. Christopher is the best counselor, our sessions go by so quickly, too quickly! I miss talking to him on our off days often! I really enjoy coming in and seeing everyone in the morning, I know it’s part of the reward system to not have to come every day but I really do look forward to it. Everyone is so kind and warm and amazing. Don’t ever ever close!! 🙏🏻

Questions & Answers

How long is the intake process?

Rachel Lawrence | Aug 29, 2018
Ian | Aug 29, 2018

It can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or two, depending on how well you follow their directions when you call them. Call a day ahead; the intake will include a urinary analysis, to confirm that you've used within the last three days. Mine took most of the day. They open at 5am; be there then, if you can, but call ahead.

How long does it take when following all the rules to start getting take homes?

They look at your drug testing history after around 6mths or so, give or take. And then your counselor will "recommend" you for your first take home. Every month (depending on ur case) or so after, you will again get recommended for another take home. And it goes on from there.

Yes, they should. Anthem also has a transportation service for you to call and set up rides to and from the facility if you can't find any way to get there regularly.

Ok, I have had an Rx for methadone for over 7 years for chronic pain, but my doc dropped me due to a change with my insurance. Now, no County doc will prescribe it to me! Does going to a clinic mean I will have to be taken off of it eventually?

No at regis they let you decide when you are ready. I seen people go in that have been on it for years. I have been going for 3 years and Regis has really helped me. The staff are really nice and the doctors are great. I think I would be homeless or even dead if not for Regis.

They base your dosage off of what you have been using up until going there right? If not, how do they decide your starting dose?

Rachel Lawrence | Aug 29, 2018
Erik Rasciner | Aug 28, 2021

They start everyone the same. Then, depending on if it is enough for you or not,, or too much , they raise it or lower it or leave it alone.

How can i get my husband's records from you for legal purposes?

Sherlette Gentle | Aug 29, 2018
Submachine | Aug 29, 2018

Your husband would have to give signed written consent in person with a fingerprint scan for each aspect of his record(such as testing results, dosing amounts, attendance etc). Failing that you would need a LPOA & MPOA from your husband(legal and medical power of attorney, notarized of course).
