I am truly disappointed in this place. My wife and I I were driving through from out of town and asked if possible if can help with food due to our low money for travel and they said they were limited to only community only but I know god would never turn away a hungry mouth I can only pray for them

Michael, Our main office borders the American Legion. The shelter is approximately 1 mile. Thank you for your inquiry.
Hi Michael, It's an emergency shelter and is open in the eveings only. We open at 6:00pm and close at 7:00am. We have a dorm that will hold 20 men. The community brings a meal each evening and we have laundry machines. If you are in Sumter and have no-where to go we may be able to help you get back on your feet. Thank you!
