I recently visited the top of Mt Diablo and was impressed with the beauty. I didn’t have enough time to hike or checkout the many trails but very much enjoyed the view from the top. There’s a visitors office with some history and insights. There’s plenty of picnic spots and places to take in the views.

On a clear day you can see San Francisco. Ten bucks to get to the top. Been camping there but it been a few years
