Vantage Oak Park Apartments

I previously stayed in Vantage Oak Park Unit 803. The purpose of this review is to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this property. I’ve had a couple events taken place that I am not happy with. For the majority of my lease I dealt with a gnat and fungus fly infestation. We had a gnat and fruit fly infestation from July all the way until January. I sent up numerous maintenance requests, pictures and nothing was done about this until January. They changed all of the filters in the apartment and found out that my neighbor had inhabitable living conditions which caused for the pests to go into the surrounding units. I couldn’t eat, sleep, have company and overall I felt extremely uncomfortable in my place. I spent hundreds of dollars on traps, sprays ect. It got to the point where I would have to stay at parents’ house days at a time  until they could get maintenance out. I was told that they didn’t have the legal right to enter someone’s home but they could of sent out a communication asking if anyone else experienced it. Instead they made it seem as if I had something in my home that was causing this. Overall this is extremely frustrating that I had to suffer from someone’s else lack of hygiene and it shouldn’t of taken this long to get a hold on a situation. The apartment hasn’t not once asked how I’m doing , checked in to see if I have experienced any other issues, nor has done anything to make up for the amount of discomfort I felt. felt. I’ve attached a few pictures to showcase a snippet of what Ive experienced thus far. In addition I was stuck on the elevator for about 3 minutes but the traumatizing park of this is that the elevator actually dropped while I was in it. Asked if I could get a month free of rent and that proposal was shot down since I was the only one that experienced this trauma therefore I believe that somethings should be done about the fact that not only myself but other neighbors dealt with pest issues. The amount of PTSD I’ve experienced at this property has worsened my anxiety and I would not recommend anyone moving here.  My main problem with this property is the lack of communication and lack of empathy. They try to act as if they understand but pretty much tell you oh well we can’t do anything and that is truly disheartening. The property itself is beautiful in ana amazing location however if they continue to operate in this manner they will lose tenants.They don’t communicate, they don’t follow up and overall the entire staff except for a few people on maintenance is lackadaisical. I’ve decided not to renew my lease for this exact reason and I wanted to touch base with I’ve decided not to renew my lease for this exact reason and I wanted to touch base with someone at the corporate level so that your’e aware of the various issues this building has. I hate that I had to move but I don’t consider this a  true luxury apartment. At a true luxury apartment you value your residents and unfortunately that isn’t the case here. It is a good location. However you can hear through the walls if neighbors are loud past certain hours of the night when you are trying to sleep. Management does what they can to have to deal with it, but it’s fruitless if the tenant really doesn’t care. Other than that, the facility would be wonderful if you didn’t have to hear loud noises at night that literally disrupts sleep. In addition, if neighbors smoke, it will enter your apartment space. Not good for your health or if you have kids. In the end, nice location but I feel the designers of the building could have done a better job with insulating the noise between units for the money you are spending on rent. If you’re neighbors have proper etiquette, no problem. If not, then sleep will be an issue. If your neighbor smokes, that will be an issue as well. Would I recommend this place to a friend? Not really. Again, this was just my experience and I’m sure others have had much better.

Awesome location, Great amenities, and the building is so secure with several camera on each floor, at all exits. Most importantly, Rachel is the best leasing agent, extremely knowledgeable and she guides you through the process. My move-in was seriously done in 24 hours, and Rachel is the reason why!!! Randy, the maintenance man is outstanding and are ready to respond to your needs right away!! Did I mention the school district?!?! Great schools in a Safe community. I would recommend moving to Vantage Oak Park Apartments. Give Rachel, the Leasing Agent a call; she is the BEST!!
