It generally always took DMV a few weeks to mail back registration tags prior to Covid. Things are slower now. One would be better off going directly. Suggest contacting bank to stop payment and go directly. Go 30 minutes before they open. You won't spend all day there.

Yes they do have a drop box. Just let them know you just going to drop off in the box and you don't have to do a line outside.

If you complete the application process online and come in with the required docs, no more then an hour. If you don't, maybe 3 to 4 hours. And you'll receive your temp until the official one comes in the mail.

I would skip El cerrito go to another townChick-fil-A or something cuz El cerrito people are very very rude I will never go there and get even though I live in Contra Costa I'll go to another

Go back to the DMV. You PROBABLY have OLD INFORMATION in THEIR SYSTEM. Go get it updated and get a new paper license and you'll get your new license in 2 weeks.

Yes. I walked in with no appointment. You might be able to get the extension online. I renewed my license online. I just had to go into the DMV for proof of identity for the Real ID.

You can just ally in. Gifts get it smog checked first especially if its San out of state vehicle

If you ate a member of AAA,you can go there and get your registration done. I asked one of the supervisors there and she said there are DMV Kiosks at different locations and you can also go there. AAA will give you your registration sticker when you pay the fee.

I would suggest getting there no later than 7:30. Earlier is better. Unless it is a particularly busy day if you line-up at 7:30 you should be out of there by 9.
