There were a lot of things that went sour this Saturday evening of my stay with my wife and newborn baby. To begin, the lady at the front desk was extremely cold, clueless, and unapproachable. There were a lot of conversations with maintenance and other managers happening near her and she could not focus on what I was trying to say. Following this, we were told that the hot tub was broken and would not be warmed up until Sunday, when we checked out. When we got to our room there was rust in the bathtub, along with hair. There was only one roll of toilet paper, and thus it was clear that this room had not been cleaned at all prior to us checking in (at about 3:30 PM). We tried to call down to switch rooms but of course the phone didn't work to call the front desk (it worked for everything else of course). I had to then leave my wife and newborn baby to walk down and ask about changing rooms. The manager said someone must have unplugged the phone, but I informed them that no, I could hear a dull ring tone in the background so I know it wasn't unplugged. Also, I could clearly see it plugged in. In terms of switching rooms, it was clear they did not want me switching, and while they didn't say they didn't have any other rooms, they instead got the maintenance man who was very odd but nice and really pushed for himself to just come up to our room and clean it, rather than accepting that I wanted a different room. The only saving grace is that they were kind enough to give us late checkout.

1 minor issue...I major black mark. The staff is great and friendly, nice breakfast, rooms are nice and the general facility is pretty good. I am on business and have been here with a business rate for many months. **1 minor issue is that the Hot Tub has been broken for several months...the hotel may not have any power over parts, so maybe there is nothing to be done on this one. **1 major issue is the fact that their card system is very old and I have to go at least every other day to have my card reprogrammed as I cannot get into my room or facilities. This is a great hassle and one I have never had at other Marriott's I have stayed in. If I did not have my business group rate, I would look at other hotels just because of this. At minimum, they need to upgrade to a newer card system...But they really should do this as well as upgrade to the Digital Key option that other Marriott's are using. This gives you a stable card system and a digital key on your phone in one system...no more bad card being slide into slots on the door...all touched based. The staff even complain about this system.

Arrived and the clerk at desk tried to charge card full amount of 2 night stay and a 400.00 hold on top. Next day changed another 90.00 hold. 3 days later not lifted and we left room spotless. We are seniors coming for first get away after Covid. Just wanted to sit in hot tub was not told it wasn’t working. Had not been working for sometime. Breakfast is poor. Next day went to use pool and it was closed. On arrival. Toilet paper on holder was soaking wet. Tv has ver few channels to watch. Staff at desk never around. And not helpful. Have stayed at other Residence inns but this is by far the worst. Will not stay here again. Ruined our get away. We waited years for

I can't possibly express how deeply we appreciated this hotel's staff. Troy, Harrison and especially William made our stay friendly and easy! We had a fantastic time at my daughter's hockey tournament. What a blast. The rooms were clean, the pool and hot tub were awesome and the prices were excellent. Really its the staff, however, that made the stay. Everyone (including the breakfast staff, the gals who cleaned the rooms, etc.) was so personable and friendly. I hope we have another tournament in Fargo - this is definitely our go-to from now on!! Thanks, guys!

You may have to ask someone else... we did not see one nor did we have a plug in capacity... our car started fine in minus 25 the other day without it.
