I had a terrible experience with this Funeral home. I had paid in full when time for the service the cremation wasn't done. It took over a month after his service to get his ashes and then they had to nerve to tell me I owe them more money

Based on a recommendation I selected this funeral home for my mom’s services . I should’ve known based on the first phone call and in-person encounter to turn around and select another place. I was frozen in grief and wanted immediate relief so I moved forward . I will say that Zachary and an older gentleman were kind and sensitive during all encounters. I actually wanted to ask for Z for all phone calls. I dreaded having to speak with the female receptionist, name unknown. The female receptionist is simply rude and unprofessional. Her attitude is disgusting to say she works at a funeral home. She lacks proper mannerism and empathy for a family’s grief. I’ve already told my family to not have any dealings with this place upon my death. I definitely will not return for any other family member that I may need to make their final arrangement. I expected better mannerisms, sensitivity and compassion for a person making arrangements for their loved one, especially a parent. Spent close to $10K for services to make an already difficult time feel even worse.

Staff met me on a Sunday to sign the paperwork and pick a casket. Very well organized and easy to select what I needed for my Mom’s funeral. They had already picked up my Mom from the Senior Living Facility two days before without hesitation. I checked to make sure she had her cross and bible in the casket. She was dressed in her favorite Sabbath dress and shoes. Staff were prompt and thoughtful on the day of her transport via hurst to Cypress Memorial Cemetery in Colma. Thank you, Duggan’s Staff for easing the pain by being SO caring and professional!

They simply suck by not being more accountable to the family. They lied about special arrangements they were supposed to make with a veterans national cemetery. Communication was DEFINITELY an issue. I would resort to another AA funeral home that is way more professional and caring of the family emotionally. The funeral coordinator was not present during service. It was puzzling. And I feel they owe the family an apology for not being more engaged and well rounded in their communications and for lying about arrangements they clearly did not make with a national veterans cemetery. That's HUGE! DO NOT USE THEM. Their administration staff is not on point and they lie about suing tasks they clearly did not do because the family is on top of everything and is aware of their lie.

I recommend Amazon. I purchased a beautiful urn for 90.00 and got it next day with Prime. Duggans has some but pricey
They'll pick up a body from anywhere as long as you sign an authorization of release form giving them authorization to do so. Vaughn Nixon is the person to see at Duggan's to make funeral arrangements.
