This morning I went on the website to schedule an appointment at 7am. The site had availability for 12-2 today. I booked it and received an email saying there would be a follow-up confirmation email with an hour of the store opening, before I was officially booked. I then tried to call the Midas location around 8:30 to see if the initial troubleshooting would be at a cost or free. After trying 3-4 times within the business hours, I left a message at 10:00. " This is xxx, I'm calling to see if I can have a noise diagnosed and if it would be free. " I never received a confirmation email and after 12:30 I received a call from them. I asked and clarified I would not be able to pay anything if I was to come today, I was looking for an estimate and would have funds in a couple days. The representative said they can look at it today if I came down now. I went over there and the representative was on his computer, he was glued to it and had me stand/wait for several minutes. There was no one in the building but him. No customers, no workers inside. He then asked for the keys and said there would be a $70 charge to look at the vehicle. I attempted several times to make it clear I just wanted an estimate but the person seemed to just ignore that concept and had me come in still.

There is a reason the web has their reviews at 3.1 which is more accurate than the websites 5 star reviews. Had 2 belts replaced here. 4 months later one broke. Probably shouldn't happen, but sorry warranty is only 90 days. I was given a discount and just charged for the labor... wow, thanks thats a total $300 for a belt that never should have broken in the first place. Way to stand behind your service and parts.
