Our care coordinator Cathleen S has ensured that our family's unique needs have always been met and that the client is supported in many ways meeting them just where they are. Care, consideration. Flexibility. Committed effort to match companion/care provider with client. This has been an ongoing collaboration; not a case where once the signature is given we're a number. Can always reach staff; multiple communication channels in place. Have been very satisfied; client no longer avoids getting help but welcomes and enjoys it. This has kept client well / stable. Our thanks to the entire team.

I was very happy with this company and especially with Cathleen Slattery. Cathleen put together an amazing team of in-home caregivers for my mother with very short notice. Caregivers were professional, compassionate, experienced and very friendly. They took excellent care of my mother. Cathleen is very knowledgeable and responsive. She checked in with us often, visited my mother’s home and was quick to address any concerns. We have used other companies and this one was the best! I would highly recommend this company and would encourage you to work with Cathleen. She’s the best!!!!

The point of hiring “home care” is to provide the best quality of life for a loved one in their own home. They deserve to feel cared for and comfortable, both physically and emotionally. Sabrina at Home Care Assistance of Milwaukee “gets” that. She has encouraged our feedback, and worked hard to send us caregivers who are the best fit for our mom. We are so grateful for these wonderful caregivers. They are skilled, attentive and compassionate professionals who genuinely interact and care for her; not just collect a paycheck. We love our mom, and want the best for her. Home Care Assistance of Milwaukee consistently meets our high standards.

Home Care Assistance was great From the client care manager to the staffing manager all the way to the caregivers, everyone communicated very well with each other as well as our family to make everything as simple as possible. They provided quality caregivers with good experience that helped with all of our needs. The staffing manager always kept us informed of any schedule changes, and the client care manager was always available to answer any questions and address all of our concerns

If you value safety, security, and reliability, yes. A quality home care agency is insured and also manages the performance and scheduling of its caregivers, handles billing and payrol, and has back-up caregivers to fill in when needed. With a private hire caregiver, you’re responsible for setting up payroll and withholding taxes, caregiver vetting and background checks, and purchasing sufficient liability insurance to cover any accidents or injuries in the home.
We follow infection mitigation best practices and safety protocols, informed by the CDC and local authorities, and provide appropriate PPE to our caregivers. The majority of our caregivers and Care Team members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Home care is typically billed by the hour, so the cost depends on the number of care hours per week and can vary slightly by region. Most families pay out-of-pocket for their care or use long-term care insurance.
The best caregiver is an experienced professional who has the training and skills to support your loved one’s care needs. It’s also imporatnt to find a caregiver who’s extremely reliable, has back-up if necessary, and is a good fit in terms of personality and shared interests.
Home care is a supportive service provided by a professional caregiver in the home or community where a resident lives (in addition to facility supports) for peace of mind, companionship, and personal care. Caregivers can perform tasks such as running errands, preparing meals, assisting in the shower, fall prevention, and initiating brain stimulation activities to stimulate cognitive function.
