years ago I worked for manpower, literally worked in their office as their secretary, but AS THEIR TEMP! They told me it was a temp-to-hire situation. this lasted seven months without any word of going perm, and by the time I was done with that place, I was doing work that the recruiters were meant to be doing. When I asked to go perm/get a pay raise they looked at me like I was insane. They even told me they "Never saw my role as being a permanent one." there was no contractor to negotiate with, they had every opportunity to make me a full time employee, they just didn't want to pay me more money or give me benefits that the recruiters got. I left the next week because they were not willing to provide me with anything other than a way to low to live off of wage. These people don't care about you, you are a number to them.

I have only been contacted ONCE, for an initial face to face interview "assessment." Meanwhile, I have other recruiting agencies I just started working with, one of which contacted me within 5 days from their initial contact to offer me two interviews. There needs to be more communication (via e-mail) between recruiters and job seekers on where they are in the process of interviewing for potential job openings. I have bachelor's degree, and yet since my initial assessment interview with Man Power not only have I not been contacted, but when I do reach out to my assigned recruiter she is never available and does not get back to me. I am the one reaching out to her for updates on potential job opportunities.

Manpower has helped me with employment along with a better resume. Though when I first started it wasn't permanent employment I was able to learn different responsibilities and environments. Being around diversity was fun and educational at the same time. We may look and talk different but we all want the best opportunities out there for our lives. But some things in life are not given. We must work along side those opportunities and that's why I thank Manpower for giving me that time to build up to my potential. I now have permanent employment because of those opportunities that were given me. I will always recommend Manpower to any and every one who wants the best out of life through employment but just needs that willing hand to give us a shot. Thanks Manpower for opening that opportunity.

I filled out an application and had an interview years before I actually got a job through Manpower. I was told by the manager of the company I work for that I could go to Manpower or another temp agency and tell them she sent me. I went to Manpower only because it was closer. So i actually found my own job. They just took a chunk of the money I worked for and did pretty much nothing to earn it. Not to mention they've never called me with a job worth accepting.
