We have stayed twice and have had wonderful experiences both times. Cabins are always clean and well stocked. Even at the furthest cabin there’s good Wi-Fi. No worries about seeing your neighbors because there’s a wall of trees to give you privacy. Always plenty of hot water for the jet tubs. Great dining within an hour’s drive. Amazing state parks in the area. Makes for a great weekend stay. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I love visiting this part of Wisconsin and this place just added another reason we love it. We will definitely be coming back again. We enjoyed most everything about this place. The building and porch. The scenery. The peacefulness. The alone time (except the few times Cosmo the dog joined us). The cell signal was even good for those few times we broke down to "reconnect" with the rest of the world. Reserving the place was more challenging than other places we’ve stayed, but it was definably worth the effort. Personally, we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at #1 Bungalow, but if you're looking at that building, here are tips that may help you enjoy your stay more: 1. There is no stove or oven. Only a gas grill with a burner outside and a microwave inside. I guess this is the only building on the property like this, so choose a different building if indoor cooking is important to you. 2. The fridge is a small hotel-sized one, so bring a cooler if you need lots of space. 3. They might have extra quilts/blankets on hand during colder months, but we didn't see them so I’d recommend asking or bringing your own if you like them to wrap up and feel cozy. 4. The chairs on the back porch aren't built for comfort, so unless you like metal “waffle” chairs I recommend bringing your own to enjoy the porch. 5. The TV tech is from early 2000s at best – Tube projection TV, DirecTV, a DVD player and a VCR. Leave anything that uses HDMI or USB cables at home. As a matter of fact, just leave the TV off and enjoy being disconnected from the world. :)

This was the perfect place for our honeymoon! Our cabin was nestled in the woods for complete privacy. The owners are wonderfully kind and we enjoyed our visits from Cosmo, the black lab. Our cabin was beautifully set up and super cozy. We will be back!

I wish I could give this place more stars. My husband and I were looking for the perfect place to have an unplugged, relaxing anniversary trip. Percheron was that and more! We rented Chalet #3. The place was easy to find using Karl's directions, the office was quaint, and Karl gave us tips about the Chalet, and told us we could pack up the Jeep to drive back. He told us that he wouldn't come up unless we called. We were there during the week and it was absolutely peaceful, we only saw the woodland creatures (deer, birds, and eagles!). The jacuzzi and shower were amazing for relaxing and we played darts and pool for hours. Even though it snowed while we were there, we still grilled out and it was amazing. Every night we cuddled on the two person loveseat and watched a movie before heading off to bed. The quiet was unreal. Thank you for creating paradise, Karl and Tracy. I have already recommended this place to so many friends. If you want a relaxing, people free, worry free vacation...check out Percheron!
