The hotel was in a nice quiet neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the capital building (by bus). There were small shops and restaurants around, so you could easily find a place to eat or buy items. I had a great time and I would not doubt to check in at the Madison Marquette Hotel if I ever get the chance to go back to Madison, WI.

Worst experience, DO NOT BOOK!!! Texted us the night before our reservation stating it was cancelled due to having no card on file…. After talking to Expedia whom we booked through, they stated there was a card on file and they are seeing no cancellations on their end. After multiple attempts of Expedia trying to contact them as well as us through email, text and call we had no luck getting through to anybody. Then when you go to show up, no one is there to handle the situation because it is all self serve kiosks. They completely ruined our trip to Madison, and we ended up having to pay $200 extra the day of our trip to have a place to sleep. Save yourself the time and money and book elsewhere.

Horrible hotel would not recommend staying here. The rooms were disgusting. Blood on my sheets and bugs crawling in the other bed. The A/C wasn’t working. Liquid leaking from the ceiling. Not to mention a housekeeper just walked into our room without knocking. Please DO NOT give this company your money

This morning my friend Mary and I went to this little cafe at the suggestion of a friend of hers. Very nice. Small selection, reasonable, and the food is extraordinarily prepared. I had their breakfast burrito and was astounded at the quality and how good it was. Definitely should be on your list to stop by sometime.
