My mother-in-law has been at ABE for several years. It is home to her and the staff members are family to us all! They are both kind and professional, always going the extra mile to keep residents safe and engaged. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Also, call and speak with Ursula or Vanessa to arrange a tour with your loved one(s). It's a great place to work as well. Many of the staff have been there 10+ years.
Please understand that this is like a retirement home. There's always someone at the front desk more during the day...the kitchen staff....the cleaning staff...arts and craft person and several others. If your looking for nurses and doctors I think you might want to check out asst. living places.
Appalachian Brian Estates is located in Boone. Watauga Medical Center Hospital is located within a mile of ABE. Cannon Memorial Hospital is located in Linville which is several miles from Banner Elk.
