This customer came our business searching for a vehicle on 3-4 different occasions, he wanted us to discount a $6,000 mini van 40%, which was well below market value. How much profit can you make on a 6g vehicle ? On the other hand since we are blocks away from his business I decided to drop clothes off on several occasions, once they lost my clothes and I had to go back two different times before they found them. THEY NEVER HAVE CHANGE IF YOU GIVE THEM A LARGE BILL. How in the world can you accommodate customers if you don't have CHANGE. So, on 2 different occasions i had to go make change myself ? What an inconvenience to your customers. I asked for a discount on my cleaning bill for the troubles. The owner told me no ! I told him if he didn't make any concession for my troubles I would never come back. His response was DON'T COME BACK ! A $5 -10 DISCOUNT IS A WHOLE LOT LESS THAN A 40% DISCOUNT. Terrible customer service AND I didn't think the overall cleaning job was the best. I hope he doesn't treat everyone of a different descent that way he treated me - GOOD LUCK IF YOU GO THERE

After 7-8 years of impeccable service from Star Cleaners in Shawnee Mission, KS, I moved to Independence MO about 3 years ago At first, I continued, commuting to Star cleaners. I experimented with some local cleaners, a couple shirts here a couple there, but to no satisfaction. After about a year, I discovered A&M Cleaners on 23rd Street in Independence. I gradually brought more and more slacks and shirts to them. They did a pretty good job. Not the stellar service of Star cleaners, but good. Then the quality began to slip, perhaps a year ago. Started with things like receiving light starch on my formerly requested medium starched shirts. BUT, that was my fault, I didn't specifically ask, despite over a year of medium starch. Then, they ruined a high end, all cotton shirt, leaving it blotchy. Again, my fault, I "should have asked for dry cleaning. Uh, like I know about the cleaning of all fabrics. Even the gal at Star stated they should have known. A%M did dye it back to near its original color, but the fabric was never the same. Now, the light not medium returned, of course my fault, and they glazed the cuffs and color of an all cotton shirt, as well as scorched the cuff of a different shirt. When I pointed that out, I was told, again, it was my fault for not asking for dry clean on the all cotton glazed one. No suggestion of fixing the errors was made and suddenly, "i know understand" returns, said by the formerly articulate seamstress. I take my things and leave, very exasperated! So, I'll live with light starch on 4 shirts, but I take the scorched, and glazed ones to Star cleaners. They are able to rescue the scorched cuff but not the over heated glazed shirt. I return to A&M and ask for a refund, She is articulate in her reason not to, but when I counter with A&M has damaged two of my shirts and ruined a third, she "no understand". Finally, rather than keep arguing about a $21 refund for the botched job, I accepted $5 for the cost of the other cleaners to fix A&M's mistakes. I will never return!
