The busy but attentive staff at huge Hawthorne Place run a tight ship! The affordable units are beautiful, spacious, & well kept! They are constantly remodeling something somewhere, reviewing the work, & maintaining the enormous complex. Very professional operation. Independence PD are on site & routinely patrol too. Hawthorne is a contribution to the neighborhood, best apartments I ever lived in out of many!

I'm so thankful for Hawthorne & all of the staff here! If you decide to make this your home please realize the number of residents far out weigh the staff and you can remind the staff of what ever it is you need and still be KIND. Without Hawthorne I wouldn't be where I'm at today and I'm excited about my future! Just really wanted to give a shout to the Hawthorne staff. Thank you all so much for everything you do!
Bri and Jacklyn
All the staff is rude and disrespectful! Mainly Deb who Will try and change your locks before try to Evict you if you leave your shoes outside your door. I would never rent from here. They will never come fix anything in your apartment. They don’t care about anyone but themselves.
Shanice & Ras Abu
They dont respond to maintenance request most of the time. I dont even waste my time in the office, I hear to many rude stories. But if your in need, you will make it work. Management constantly invades privacy without notice, 1 knock& your door is opened, Beware!

You don't need no deposit.managers don't care.I live next to some people with 5 dogs
I live here and wasn't aware of any eviction. If there are any I'm sure they're probably for non-payment of rent or other issues that they are having with the tenant.
If it is an apartment, maybe. They were talking about getting rid of them. If it is a townhouse yes in the basement
