My friend & I were archery noobs, and have only ever held those janky bows at RenFests - so, we gave the Intro to Archery course a shot. Emily was absolutely lovely, and took great care of us! She made us feel comfortable, gave perfect instruction, and when she noticed my friend's hyperextended elbow was getting in the way, she took the initiative to see if Melinda, the head coach, had any tips. Melinda helped my friend learn how to adjust her elbow, and gave some great analogies to help with our form. I feel that both Emily & Melinda went above and beyond for us, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. We hope to return soon!

We have been doing lessons for about a year with my daughter. The staff is very good will all ages. They go above and beyond to make sure students are doing correct form and shooting of bows and arrows.

Great place! I went here recently having never attempted archery and was really impressed with the friendliness and expertise of the staff working here.

Great place, K.C. needed this! My daughter is learning top notch archery lessons from Olympic level training! Prof staff. Great archery/bow shop...hope they are lucrative in their business!! Update: Melinda & her husband stayed til midnight to get my bow finished on a bowstring fix...before Xmas holidays!!! Also, he found it was setup wrong by another (reputible) shop- string was a 1/2" too long 🤬. Takes an expert in his field to find these things, & I appreciate that!! THIS is where my bow will go any time it needs work!! These are great ppl that value your business. Update:their crew actually stayed late to get my bow back in action b4 Xmas break!! Found it was incorrectly strung by a reputable shop & corrected it. My groups are 4" tighter @30yds now!! I paid less$$ for better quality...again- I can't think of a better place for my business!!!!!

Yes they have bows there you can use.
We put them on consignment to try and sell them for people, but usually don't purchase compound bows
Yes, we have group classes or offer private lessons and we have a pro shop with new and used equipment and we work on all makes and models of bows... as long as they're still shootable and we can still get pieces for them, we'll do our best to make it possible for you to shoot your bow when you get one as well. No prior knowledge or having your own equipment necessary to come here though, as we have equipment to rent as well.
If you have your own equipment, you can bring it in to shoot. We'll double check the points to ensure the arrow shafts match the points so that you have the easiest time pulling your arrows as well as they don't destroy the targets for future use... but otherwise, yes, it is ideal, if you have your own bow, that you bring your own arrows, to practice for more accuracy, since arrows are set up for your draw length and draw weight... if you have a bow and need to purchase arrows, we sell arrows in our pro shop, and we can help you figure out the ideal length, spine and setup for your equipment... if you don't have arrows or archery equipment, the first time you come to rent our equipment, we require you to take a 15 minute introductory course to ensure safety for you and any other guests while you are visiting... the introductory lesson requires a reservation to ensure we have enough equipment and staff available during your visit...
It's a pro shop as well... we don't keep a huge stock of accessories, because there are just way too many options, but we can definitely order whatever you need to personalize your setup!
Our latest prices are on our range page of our website... https://cbayou.org/archery-excellence-indoor-archery-range/
A 1 hour lesson including equipment is $45 - reservation required... joining a group lesson at a specific time each week is $17 per week for an 8 week or 9 week session per person for 1 hour per week and includes equipment - new lessons start the first week of each month and have a $15 deposit which pays for the graduation tournament at the end of the session... and there is a newbie 15 minute lesson option with 45 minute lane and equipment for $17 one time - reservation required...
Small family run business that sometimes gets really busy. Not real shocking that they would be paying attention to the kids training with the potential lethal weapons. They have a web site with a ton of info. Did you check there for answers as it seems you know how to use the web? Maybe even drop by and check the place out.
Yes some of the best training there is 2 level 4 Olympic archery coaches on staff you can get training from beginner to Olympic couching
