I just started volunteering as a dog walker with unleashed and have loved every minute of it! The staff is very friendly and all of the dogs are so sweet and loving. I love how they inform you about the temperament of the dogs before they bring them to you. They also inform you if there is anything you should know before taking them out on a walk. They also make sure you are comfortable with the dogs you are going to walk before you head out. I have enjoyed it so much that I have considered adopting one of the dogs that I am familiar with on walks!

We adopted our 2 babies from unleashed! Staff was helpful and kind. Everyone was so friendly which really made the experiences easy!! They quickly paired us with dogs both times and we had them show us a few different dogs and we went with their first suggestions!!! They taught us about a proper introduction with our other dogs. I highly recommend this rescue and I'd like to thank them very much for saving our best friends.

I adopted my dog here. They allow you a private room to meet available dogs. The dogs have their shots and are spayed. Employees are informed and helpful.

We were able to find the purrfect kitten to add to our family. The staff was friendly, attentive and you could tell they care about each animal in their facility. There were quite a few choices but Lizzard, formerly Spicy Tuna Roll, came up to my daughter and picked her. 😉

I am new to this Site. But, why was so wrong of you to Wait. You continued to try. But, it hasnt worked out. Baby needs to be a "only child" within his new adopted family. That's understandable. I hope Baby finds a loving Family.
You should not be so quick to return the dog. Teach the dog how to be gentle with your daughter and teach your daughter that the dog is not scary. Give the dog time to adjust. If you were moved to a new house without any warning or information, you’d be scared too. So give the dog time to adjust. If you’re not willing to do those things then you’re not ready to be a dog owner.
Call Unleashed directly. They will be able to help you
You can buy t-shirts
That's sad. Hopefully they can find a foster home and a new family. Call and leave a message
Yes they do. They believe all the babies need love no matter where their new families live
They are always looking for more volunteers, or so I have been told.
Occasionally will have small critters too.
The overall goal is to save all dogs. Yes that's a big goal but we take it one step at a time. We also help with groups from all over the country too. Also not long after the Egypt team came back we help a group of 40+ stray dogs in the local community. The team never stops helping at all levels Locally, state, country, and globally. We are always needing helping hands with Walking the dogs at the shelter, if you would like to see first hand the work that goes on in all areas
If you are looking for an emotional security dog. I'm sure a loving dog could be trained to help. There are fees for the animals at the shelter. And it is ran on donations.
Yes. Before you go, please think first if a dog fits your lifestyle. They need your attention every single day - time spent walking, playing, feeding, etc.- and they have health needs too. Can your budget manage it? If the answers are yes, then ask yourself if you are ready for a long-term commitment of many years. If that's yes, then please think about the kind of dog will fit your life best. If you have children, is the dog good with children? If you have other pets, ask about and watch the dog's behavior around other dogs. We adopted our dog Molly from Unleashed six months ago and couldn't be happier!
There are Foster Care Individuals who take in dogs and cats for Unleashed Pets. What you should do is fill out a form and get on the waiting list for your dog. Usually it is a 3 week wait period. Shelter cannot accommodate pets, there, due to the heat, so Foster Homes are where the dogs and cats are placed and brought into the shelter, when individuals are wanting to adopt a particular dog from online search or a phone call to them with shelter visit. 8-16-2022. Mgb.
All rehomed pets adopted through Unleashed are fully vetted with age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped, & spayed/neutered proir to adoption.
Absolutely ! Call Unleashed Pets and ask them about you wanting them to have the sturdy Styrofoam boxes, describing their size, et al, and when you can bring them. They are close to the Broadmoor Post Office in Merriam, KS. THANK YOU. They can use clean used towels, sheets, small blankets, small rugs, stainless steel bowls - all sizes for cats and dogs... They do so much for dogs and cats in their care, waiting for adoption. 4-22-2021. Mgb.
great plains
You must provide photo ID to adopt.
Check the website, they list their animals for adoption
Yes we do! Are you looking to foster or adopt? Please fill out the appropriate form found on our website at http://unleashedrescue.com/
I believe there are no boundaries. Kids likely need to be accompanied by an adult. Must take class before able to volunteer. Last I knew, class is Sunday evening around 6pm. Might call them or see Facebook page.
Just go to pet resque and talk to them
They closed at 7 pm. I'm not sure what their holiday hours are tomorrow or the 1st.
You would need to contact them to see if they can take her. There is a process to surrender a pet.
There are fees for having the shelter take animals in.
Poor momma i hope u find her some babies.
Yes you can. I believe there is a surrender fee which helps the rescue to take care of the animals. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
Are you just wanting to give them up and rehome them? If yes, they might take them but the last I was there they were full on kittens. So check around before you drive over.
Melody, have your neighbor call Unleashed Pets and ask if they have a trap to catch it....and how to do it and then, once in the trap, when to bring the cat to them. FYI: If she lives in KS, Animal Control does NOT trap cats.
I know they take donations via walk in. You may try calling
Hello, I'm not sure what exactly the cause is. Have you taken your dog to the vet? They would be caught up on all their shots. I'm not going to speculate, a vet will be able to tell you what is happening.
Unleashed Pet Rescue will help you with your situation.
Check the Unleashed website at https://www.unleashedrescue.com/adopt/ All of their dogs currently up for adoption are pictured there with a little info about each.
An adult would have to be with her.
They keep a pretty updated list of animals on their website, but your best option is to go there and ask.
Yes they are.
Yes he can. They require you to go to a meeting before you start though. The hold the meeting on Saturday evenings. Call for time of meeting. I think it was 7 but I would call first.
Where abouts are you located? Have you taken the cat to get scanned for a microchip?
There are SO MANY cats at the shelter right now! Check the website for listed cats and stop by!
Are you asking if they take in stray dogs, or remove them from street? They receive most animals from people or the KC Animal Shelter.
But I'm going back and send you
This is not the Correct venue for your question. You can reach them by email or thru facebook. I do not believe there are any paying positions at this time, and experience would be mandatory for one.
Independence, Jackson county
Best to call or go there in person, I'd say. Good luck to your daughter.
Check their website. They update it very regularly.
Contact the pet rescue directly by calling them.
Call unleashed and see if you can get on the waiting list.
Your best bet is to go to the unleashed rescue website.
You can also go into Unleashed and an adoption counselor will help you. Good luck!
They have a ton of dogs that would fit that description! I suggest you look online if possible and fill out an application with the name of the dogs your interested in. They have quite a few dogs in foster care. Or you can go to Unleashed and fill out an application and a counselor will help you.
You should call them. They may have it fostered so they would have to bring it in for you to see it. Keep checking their site too.
The animal can live in any state, but the paperwork must be completed in person at the Unleashed office.
Or call Great Plains SPCA. They are a great no kill clinic with on site vets.
We have some older pups, around a five to ten months. But they have some energy. Like most puppies. But if you would like to come by, I'm sure that we could find your new addition!!!!
Adoption event this weekend. Open 10-5 Saturday and Sunday
You can take it in or Greater SPCA on Antioch just off I-35. It mist be stray and will have to sign release. But still best to call either. Most companies do not monitor this area about questions like this.
You would want to take it to a vet for this.
