People have to remember that emotions run high during funerals. Everyone is confused, scared, sad, and a whole other mix of emotions, so they are looking for something to be upset about. So please read some of these negative reviews with a grain of salt. I have to give Akes 5 stars. If I could give them more I would. We explained what we had wanted, but we received above and beyond what we asked for. Everything was done on such a timely manner. We had chosen a church which, with traffic, was over an hour and a half away. Akes was professional, kind, understanding, and so respectful. They were on time, polite, and they were there from the beginning all the way until we left. If you want a real all around stand up company, come here. I never thought I would say this, but when I die, I hope my family will take me to Akes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Akes Family!

We had a very pleasant experience with Ruth and her son Patrick. Their prices were reasonable and you could tell they had a a lot of experience in what they do. She helped us through the whole process and was a big help with the viewing, church services and burial. You can tell it was a family run business because of the level of support they both showed my family.
