Loved it. Great hike. Wear sunscreen and/or a hat and bring water. There are ladders off the main trail too.

This once was a wonderful hike, however it’s become too popular and subhumans have tagged the cliff walls and there’s trash everywhere. The last 4 times I’ve been here there were cars stuck in the sand, the road can be bad.

Awesome hike...must be able to deal with some heights and narrow spaces but it's great fun. Family friendly for anyone that can climb a ladder. Bring water as you are very exposed to the sun after the slot section.

Well worth the drive out. One of the best slot canyon experiences outside of Utah! Plenty to do and see even for little ones, but those who can climb a ladder can have a lot of fun here. Not wheelchair accessible. Closest outhouse is about 5 mins before the parking lot. 4wd not necessary in dry weather.

Is this trail still open? I saw on one site it was permanently closed and it showed Mecca as city. Other site shows Palm Desert as city and it is open 24 hours. Not from this area so wanted to make sure before we drive there. Thanks.

It's still open! Was there a few days ago. They'll only temporarily close it during heavy rains.

I like to have gloves when I do the ropes course, but that's the only extra equipment I use.
