Andreas Canyon is a lovely one hour loop hike that's mostly shaded. It's home to the world’s second-largest California Fan Palm oasis. We all loved it so much. We went early in the morning (around 9:30am in April) which was perfect. Cost was $12 per adult which we paid at the ranger station. They accepted a credit card. Great for kids. Love seeing all this water in the desert.Just watch for rattle snakes. We didn't see any but other hikers told us they had seen one. I would go again. It really was so amazing!

Wow! Truly an amazing place. The pictures don’t do it justice. It feels like a cathedral made of giant palms and rock. One of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen.

Hiked the West Fork North Trail (Streneous) It's best to access the West Fork North Trail from the West the East Fork. Came in March and saw brilliant field of wild flowers, teddy bear cholla and agave along the scenic trail, This stunning view into canyon. Bring lots of water and use wear hiking boots because of rocks.

We went for a hike here, did the Victor to the Palm Canyon Trails (with a bit of the Fern Trail at the very beginning), early morning in the winter. It was a great hike, a nice loop that let us see two different perspectives of Palm Canyon and the surrounding area. We decided to do the more exposed, higher elevation trail first, which turned out to be a good idea. The sun was not yet blazing, so it was still pleasant enjoying the sunshine and views from up high. Then we circled down into the canyon, which was wonderfully cool and even a little damp, probably because it had rained pretty hard just two days before. It was a relaxing, non-strenuous way to end the trip, with the sun filtering through all the palms above us.

Indian canyons
Use the GPS on your phone for directions. Put in "Indian Canyons Palm Springs". It will direct you. There is a gaurd house.about 1/8 of a mile in to the reservation drive. All the way at the end of one of the roads there is a trading post. Maps are posted at the parking lots. The trails start at a number of different locations. There is a desk for The Agua Caliente Indian Canyons at the tram visitors center which is no where near the main trails, on the other side of town. Tickets for the tram are a separate desk from the Indians. At the tram location they will be able to help you more, as they do not have a line of cars waiting to get into the canyons. It is confusing I know. Alternatively, one could call them, or go on their website, which updates trail closures. And has of all things, believe it or not, maps. https://www.indian-canyons.com/
Yes, they are open
From October till June. You can get the park 7 days a week summer months only Friday Saturdays and Sunday
Annual passes are $90
No animals allowed...except horses. Sorry.
If it is very hot I recommend that you bring very cold water and a hat because the temperature is more than 100 degrees
No pets.
There is a single entry fee to several canyons, like a day use fee you might encounter elsewhere. Adults are $9.00, Seniors $7.00
I can't answer i'm not in the USA now.
Not sure which "Indian Canyons' you are referring to. On their website they say "No animals" https://www.indian-canyons.com/safety
I don't think they have wifi, depending on your cell service, you should be fine.
I would agree, this is a rocky up and down train, sometimes quite narrow, through almost 10 water crossings when it's wet.
There is an entrance fee.
No. Maybe a service dog. It is a fragile desert environment. Dogs can introduce parasites with fecal matter, and may interact in other negative ways with wildlife and plants. Beyond that there are rattlesnakes.
Parking is at various locations and there is a fee per person (depending on age) to enter the park.
Best bet is to call them
Nope. Not on indian land.
Yes there is an out post, at which they have a snack shop, Souvenirs, and there are park rangers to answer any questions you might have about the areas history or trails.
yes you can. just make sure to give it water. it can be fairly hot there.
Yes, most definitely
Sorry don't know the only way is to phone them directly
No dogs allowed
I think its 8 dollars and yes trading post is open.
8am to 5pm every day
I believe that they do. Different types of trials from beginners to advanced to accommodate different age groups.
It will get dark about that time
I've never heard of it here.
Entrance to the canyon is not accessible by horse. Only by foot for the strongest able bodied small children and handicap won't work well
Not much in the way of ADA guidelines, but you can access the parking/picnic area at Andrea's Canyon. Its undeveloped though, so pushing a wheelchair might be rough. Check with guard gate at entrance.
the only way to find out is to contact them directly I'm afraid.
I expect that they will be open. Maybe give them a call to confirm.
