Great place, this establishment has helped us immensely! After squatters took over my boyfriend's mother's house for months after she passed and brought in over 15 cats, which soon became an unbelievable amount of cats that just kept multiplying, they have helped us find loving forever homes for all of those innocent fur babies.

We adopted two of our dogs here 5 years ago, we adopted them around July 4th so my license is always up around that time. I prefer that because they I don't have to see people giving up there pets yet this last time I went there was a lady arguing with the staff about taking her poor, scared dog. It's one reason I can't stand going to any shelter, seeing people discard their pets, it's horrible. But staff were nice and I've never had an issue with them. Adopt don't shop, and if you can't make it a lifetime commitment, do not get a pet!

The staff here are always so nice and professional. If you have questions and they always try and answer with a smile. They also seem to be very knowledgeable of the animals in the shelter.

Wrote a review a while ago and realized it never uploaded! Anyway, a year and almost 3 months ago, we came to see a 8 week old ginger kitten. We fell in love with her immediately and she has brought so much joy to our family. Since coming home, she’s established herself as the alpha cat and protector of the house. They take great care of their animals in this shelter and I wholly recommend you coming here to meet your new best friend! Enjoy the compilation of our beautiful Kiki (originally Kelly) from 8 weeks to 1 year, 3 month!

Hello, thank you for your question. We do not perform the spay/neuter procedure here. However, we are sure any local veterinarian can you assist you with this request.
Call them! 🤞❤️
I think the shelter answered that question better than I could
Is there a limit on how many and I think 2 are pregnant I see different ones in my back yard I just worry because there has already been 3 or 4 cats hit and a few dogs the last few months and it's hard telling my kids to keep there eyes down when we pass by them it's sad but there are alot of strays I see on my street
As far as I know, but why?
We are sorry, we do not currently offer this service to the general public. However, there are a couple of licensed boarding kennel's in the Town of Apple Valley you may want to reach out to for their availability.

Bet is to call them
Yes best bet is to go to the shelter if inquiring about a kitten or cat.. Email inquires might take awhile & pet may get adopted in that time. Visit them will get you the quickest answer. They are open Tues - Fri 9am- 4pm..last adoption is 3:30. Sat. They open at 9am -?? Closed on Sun & Mon. Hope that helps..
Linda B is wrong about this shelter, they only put down the dogs who have attacked people or other animals, and work with local rescues in the area to get animals that haven't found a home in a group that can take more time to home the animals. I've seen it with my own eyes happen.
I'm not sure but Barstow also has a humane society
There was 2 Dobermans there about 3 days ago !
Theres different dogs that come and go, but you can visit the website and they have pics if the dogs up for adoption. Good luck!
They don't use foster homes you need to get to know a private rescue group it's very kind of you to foster
I believe somewhere around $40 dollars.
When I got my dog put down in a week they call me to pick you the ashes
Call them. What is orientation for Me and My Shadow?
They do if you bring in a pet that needs to be put down too. Like a old family dog that gives up an is just suffering.
I am 15 1/2 and need something to do when I don't have school. I'm hoping i can volunteer here.
Aww well good for them😊
They go by weight of animal find out about low cost sometimes they have specials
If they scanned and found chip, they tried to contact you. The animals are also on a hold period, longer if they are chipped. If you didn't look hard enough for your dog and it was adopted out after all those attempts to find and contact you, that is on you. Once adopted, you will not be getting your dog back. Sorry
