Very helpful and caring staff. They'd get 5 stars if they would ever answer their phones. You have to go in peraon to get any help.

This is a nice clean shelter where the animals are well taken care of and the staff are pleasant and compassionate. The cages are clean and well maintained. I adopted a small dog that was 15 years old from here and even though she is long gone now I was able to give her a good life for her remaining years. The adoption fees are very reasonable and all vaccinations are done here as well.

I’m only giving 2 stars as we are completely satisfied with the surgical neuter for our two dachshund boys, but to begin the whole scenario, after we got there and checked in a vet tech came out and took our two boys back inside the facility, then after doing this they call you inside of their office to go and pay for the procedure, at that point they tell you that your dog needs vaccinations and if you don’t have the vaccination record they actually tell you that if you don’t let them administer vaccinations the same day of the surgery that they will not do the surgery. I only wish that they would tell you this before taking your animals from you and your vehicle to inside the facility which then is exposing them to whatever is in the facility before you can make the decision to have them administer the vaccines, I would have chosen not to do the surgery. This way there would have been no pressure to feel obligated especially after being as they take your dogs inside and away from you to inside of their facility already being exposed now. I even pleaded with them as I’m not a fan of the bordetella and it has given my other dogs reactions and kennel cough itself, so they pressured me into agreement and gave my dogs Bordetella vaccine and now a week later both my dogs have kennel cough. I guess they aren’t practicing sanitary and precautionary cleaning between the patients is my only guess.

What kind of dogs are they?
We're at
Theu are closed on Mondays but usually answer any other days They call back if you leave a number
You still do foster care
I called them when they were closed and the automated message said that it was $60 dollars to neuter a cat.
How can I upload pictures of her? Her name is Mamba, she is a sweet girl.
Yes you can turn in animals that you found or that you've trapped no charge
Just go there and look to the the shelter to see if he is there and if he's not there you can have them search the chip to see what they did with him
I am looking for poodle young male
can you send pictures I might have a home for him
They have a lot. They're like I wanna say 30 or 40. U have to call or email to make an appointment for adoption
Just called and no they are not a no kill shelter “they sometimes have to make the difficult decision in putting an animal down.” Their words exactly. “High desert doesn’t have no kill shelters” again the girl that answered the phone exact words.
I am on a waiting list to get my dog fixed since I called them but you can call them and ask
Call and ask around.
Definitely VVAPL - they're a no-kill shelter. I've adopted both my dogs (huskies) through them.
I believe they are able to volunteer throughout the year, not just during the summer. This also go for the Apple Valley City Animal Shelter. Always call and ask to see what help is needed, they will love you for it.
They will take them but I'm actually might be interested in them myself I just have to ask one other person and then I can get back with you if you want to leave me your number so I can call you I'd appreciate it or email I can contact you
You can call them and ask
2472202 is not the correct number
Do you know how to stick a tube down the throat? Victor valley may be able to help no matter your income level. They care. If you have. An eye dropper make formula and use the eye dropper to feed the baby.thanks everyone.
sometimes depending on what's wrong with the animal they don't charge you anything
Yes. Just note the location you found it.
Wendsday thru Saturday 9-12
Yes you can take it here but be sure and tell them it's a stray and you found it so they won't charge you a surrender fee.
You have to make an appointment to drop off an animal
When they do answer the phone they're rude.
VVAP took the puppy out grandson brought home, but you have to gotten the puppy in their sphere of influence. I would call them first and make sure your puppy is in that area. It would be sad to get there and have to find another placement. Call VVAP first!
I like the non-kill policy. They are considered to be a rescue center. Presently, it's a bit hard to talk to anyone by phone, but they do their best. Don't go on Adoption Day, as it is packed, which was nice to see.
They do you just have to call and make an appointment.
I think they take surrenders. Its up to a rescue to rescue them.
Do a quick internet search for "cat rescues and shelters" in your area. You will probably have to split them up. But you might be able to find places for them. You also might consider donating, even small amounts, to the rescues and shelters that can take them. The shelters will need to know if they are friendly house trained animals or outside/feral cats, as well as if they're fixed. Hope that helps. Sorry about your mom. I hope you can find homes for the babies left behind.
I have two huskies salt and pepper they are brother and sister need to be adopted together not separated they are close and love each other
Were you wanting to rehome the bullnose?
hey there, so we’re you able to turn in the dog or did they not allow you too?
They should be able to take him in, what kind of dog ours just passed away
Not sure, just call
Maybe there
We take in strays from Victorville and Adelanto. Call or email to make an appointment.
Yes, if it's a rescue situation like you're talking about. They don't usually just take someone's pets but you know the situation like that where you rescued it they might take it in
Nothing. It's free
Yes you can but there is a fee for doing so.
Is she fixed
I have 2 stay adults and 5 kittens at my house that I'm trying to catch myself to have them be taken care of by a shelter
Yes (no kill)
Not at this time
I don't have puppy, however I paid $37 and change for Rabies, Parvo & Respiratory (taken by nasal).
I have sent them an email which is going unanswered. I'm wondering if they might be out of business.
Look at animals up for adoption on their page
I'm not sure I have never taken a pic to the animal shelter
You should contact each shelter and also Google some of the rescues in the area
Call actors and others and pet assistance. Popco is another
Ask to take the dog and get him to vvapl they will take him! 21779 Zuni rd apple valley
Look on their web page. There is one shelter on Zuni Rd n one on Powhattan.
Yes
Yes I believe so
+1 to what Barbara said. Just note that if the dog is to be "fixed" you will be expected to pick up the dog the same day as the surgery (if surgery was performed early enough in the day) or the immediate day after. They will not hold the dog during the recovery process.
What does he look like a text me a picture of him we should call on Animal Control
They do, it's the cheapest you find. They are kind and compassionate with your pet. The price is all determined upon how much your dog or cat weighs
No it's not
Yes
You can take him in on Tuesday. You'll need to put him in some sort of carrier and let them know you found him in the desert.
You catch them, take them in, they spay/neuter and clip the top of an ear, you pick them up and release them back to the area you captured them. There is a limit on how many times you can bring in strays/feral. Please call them for more info
Apple Valley on Zuni has a nice place call for help
Check out their website vvapl.org
They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
It is a rescue, try the apple valley animal shelter or hesperia animal shelter
You can give VVAPL a call. Their website is vvapl.org or .com
Dog catcher will take to kill shelter take it to the vvapl
Call Apple Valley City Hall and ask for dog and Cat division and call them and see where you can surrender your sick cat
Paid $60 for all shots for my English Bulldog, $135 for spayed. Great people, can't say enough good things about them.
I was told by a staff member that. They do euthanize. This was approximately 5 years ago. Maybe they've changed their policies since.
Zuni's Clinic once a month for shots they have a weekend clinic for low-cost shots and I'm not sure about the nail cutting you will have to call and ask them about the clinic and the low cost. Also pet smart in jessranch shopping center does nail cutting .
Call Animal Control or get several live traps to help catch the kittens. VVAPL will take the kittens. They are.a good organization.
What is your cat is it a male or female how long have you had the cat what you mean by Rude does it fight with the other cat or does it just hiss at it and bad at it
See if they or apple valley animal shelter will take the cat in...
There is no charge
I don't know if they actually read these. You best bet is to go to the local shelters and leave a picture with them of your pup. Good luck and get her micro chipped 24 pet watch.
Yes. But be aware. Depending what city you are coming from there may be a fee involved. It's due to an agreement between the cities. Best to call ahead of time.
Can I bring my dogs or do I need to make an appointment?
From an article in Desert Dispatch in March, 2016: "Because of the large amount of animals being delivered by the the city into the VVAPL shelter, which includes mostly "unadoptable feral cats and aggressive dogs," the VVAPL has been overloaded, with over 50 percent of them being euthanized, Williamson said." They broke from their $185,000 contract with the city because their original intent was to save animals and get them adopted. You can call them.
9 am
Puppies are between 95 and 150 to adopt
We do not. We strongly recommend you come in to look.
No one will EVER answer the phone. Prices are on website based on age/ weight
My son was able to adopt a cat in his name when he was in elementary school.....we had her almost 20 years 😁 she was an AWESOME cat......
Petco
Yes but not sure about residency..I have done it from Big Bear
Give them a call. I go to Groomingdaled.
I took my furbaby to Animal Medical Center on Main Street the price was reasonable and my baby was acting better within 24 hours I had adopted my kitten from the shelter and when I called asking if I could bring her in because she was sick they Redirected me to another vet
I am sure you could, its very busy...
Honestly I really dont know however if I really cared for the animal I would do what I could to make it HAPPY.
Without a discreption or timeframe no one can even begin to answer your question. I highly suggest #1 That you either go to the surrounding shelters or pounds and see for yourself if your dogs there asap . If you provide a photo of your animal they ll add it to their missing or lost animal for the public to see. #2 Put up signs and pictures at your nearby stores and gas stations leaving your contact information.
Call the office ask them about if not, there are couple animal hospitals that do
