For nearly two decades (opened back in 2003) Earth-2 has been one of the groundbreaking comic book stores that brought fun to comic book hobby in the San Fernando Valley area! A 2007 Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award Winner (that credential alone shows how awesome this comic shop is!). An excellent place to visit, Earth-2 Comic Shop in Sherman Oaks packed a lot of fantastic variety of comic books, trade paperbacks, books, toy collectibles, autograph memorabilia, and other cool pop culture stuff! Heather the shop manager is always a pleasure to interact with and will help customers (from newbies to long-time collectors) with anything you need about the shop. Definitely a highly recommended Comic Book Shop to visit if you are in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

I've gone all over the country and dealt with many, many comic book stores and owners successfully for both small and large transactions. I've never had the bewildering kind of experience I had last Saturday where I walked in and wanted to purchase some of the books out of the display case at sticker price with zero negotiation. The transaction was sizable, but extreme, maybe $4500 or so. The clerk contacted the owner and apparently refused to sell the items. These weren't hidden, these weren't out of sight, these weren't tagged as not for sale. There were prices on the back and the books proudly displayed in the case. In the past, other colleagues of mine have experienced similar issues at the store where often the owner will change prices -- even though the items are stickers and out for display. What I found most irritating is that even if you have this policy, don't wait half an hour until I get to the counter after looking and then tell me I can't purchase them. I was with a friend who had about $400 worth of items and he also could not purchase them. To the owner's credit, he at least contacted me afterwards and apologized, but at that point, I had moved on to another of his competitor's stores who had a huge inventory. I was able to make a very successful deal there that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise make. If you are a higher end vintage buyer, I have to recommend against stopping here. I'm sure there are many things this store does well, but when you advertise on Facebook that you have a nice new vintage collection and a buyer stops by to spend money, I can't recommend you frequent this store for back issues. Whatever policy makes the owner think that they are not losing money by not honoring sticker prices -- I can assure him that same policy is costing you more in lost sales and a tarnished reputation. Again, I am sure there are other aspects this star does very well. But it is a policy that needs reconsideration and reflection before a serious buyer should consider frequenting this shop.

Was here for free comic book day. The shop is cool but good luck finding parking. 😂

First time walking in this comic book store. The employees greeted us and we managed to look around comfortably. The store is on the smaller side so wouldn't recommend taking a lot of people or too many kids as it's a little hard to walk around in with lots of people. They had a good selection of comics and books. Definitely recommend if you haven't stopped by at least to browse.

As Rucker said, we facilitate CGC submissions if you are looking for certified grading. If you are looking for a general evaluation of specific comics or a collection, we offer that service as well.
We occasionally pick some old ones in collections, but right now we do not have any in stock.

Nope
Truly a fan of both Marvel and DC. I recently picked up a couple collections, apx 2-3 hundred. Looking to sell. Conditions vary. Does this store buy "bulk"?
They have Rick and Morty comics if you need a fix!
We do not. That's a prose book and we sell graphic novels.
