I cannot say enough good things about this place! My partner and I went for the first time this weekend as a date, and had a blast! We thought that if we were lucky, we’d find one possibly-good book each. We ended up walking out with more than dozen altogether, and some dvds to boot! Please understand, there aren’t a lot of fiction books, which is my preferred genre, and I STILL was like a kid in a candy store, going nuts and getting more than a hundred dollars worth of books and dvds (many of which were cheaper than what I’d get elsewhere). I got got a fair amount of Christmas shopping done as well! We got some must-have classics, some old personal favorites, some aviation books (for my aerospace-engineer brother and his aerospace engineer partner). The woman who runs the place is STELLAR. There is a huge selection of amazing books, even some really really old ones. I’m talking leather-covers, collector-level old. AND, get this….she hand picks each book on the shelf! How awesome is that? The level of dedication and personal passion that she puts in is so incredible and made me really fall in love with the place. She is so kind and friendly. She was also very accommodating with our questions, but otherwise let us browse and explore without breathing down our neck, which I really really appreciate. We will definitely become regulars. My partner won’t let me come back for a while though because I would happily spend every day there and empty out my piggy bank each time.

Prices are far out of mainstream. Poor customer interaction (Owner never alleviated herself from her chair). Only a focus on her Cell phone device in hand. I'll never recommend, sell or visit her establishment again. I am Los Angeles having lived here for over 30 years.

Over the last couple of years, this book store has really improved its inventory and stock. It has gone from a decent used book store to an excellent used book store.
