Nice interpretation for a tidal salt marsh in a coastal zone subject to sea level rise in the decades to come.

Peaceful place! I went there with my friends, we had a good time for walking the trail. There was very fun! We saw many wild animals and blooming flowers.

The Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park is located on Ash Avenue near Sandyland Avenue in Carpinteria. It is open dawn until dusk everyday of the week year round. There are free docent tours every Saturday at 10am starting from the entrance near the park sign. Pets are not allowed as this is a preserve for wildlife. All people need to stay on the main trail. Bicycles need to be walked through the park as they can be hazardous. Be sure to look for fish from the bridge over Franklin Creek. Birds, rabbits, crabs, clams, and snails are usually visible with many seasonally blooming native plants. Rehabitation occurs the second Saturday of the month from 10-12.

Beautiful scenery that is ever-changing due to the climate...sun/fog, high/low tide. look for Herons, Egrets, Osprey, Hawks, Ducks, Rabbit, jumping fish, Bat rays, leopard sharks ...every day is an odyssey.
