I just discovered this amazing area. Definitely stop by when you come to Santa Barbara. We come in the bus #20 Wich is a wonderful route too!

A nice, peaceful place to spend some time walking the trails amongst the wildflowers and wildlife. Beware the steep cliff here. There isn't an easy way down to the beach, that I could find. Parking is free and plentiful during the work week. Weekends may be a different story. Great views of the coastline, mountains and the Channel Islands.

Beautiful spot to take a short walk, a long walk or just to admire the beauty. We stopped for a quick visit while heading to Pismo Beach in March. Many of the plants were in bloom. Ate a quick picnic that we packed and then walked along the paths for a bit with our dog (on leash only). There are public restrooms not far from the small parking lot on the other side of the baseball field. Super easy to access the area from the freeway and a lovely spot to stretch your legs for a short while or to take your time and explore.

Perfect choice for someone who's just starting to walk for exercise. Super easy and beautiful hike/walk with an ocean breeze. Make your walk as long as you want c: (mine was 3 miles) Dogs allowed on leash. There were 2 seal pups when I went! ^_^ please be respectful of the seals and just quietly observe them. There's a nice man-made part of the trail that connects to the tar pits park and campground. On clear days, the channel islands are visible off the coast. It's one of my favorite places in the world to go when I need to take a deep breath and clear my mind.

Technically yes ONE could fit but SHOULD you? No it would take up a large percentage of parking space for other people, and parking is limited as it is.
Dump road is not a public road. You cannot park on Dump. Get off on Bailard Ave. Turn left onto Bailard and at Stop sign go straight into parking lot for the preserve. Follow trail to seals.
Mid February through March
Yes bikes are allowed
Yes. The trail from the parking lot to the bluffs is. There is a steep rocky path down to the beach but I would think most dogs can handle it.
