Beautiful place to relax π

State Park wants $10 to park your car, when you can park along Liden street for FREE, only 100 yards from the $10 state park parking. Amount of tar oozing was extremely miniscule when I was there, but interesting nonetheless.

Beautiful. It's such an amazing place to visit and see the history of our earth. The views of the ocean are spectacular too.

Amazing to see the seals and their pups. The beach is beautiful and worth a walk. The rock formations are interesting. Watch for globs od tar!!

Park on Carpinteria avenue near dump road, across from the holiday inn. walk down dump road and take a right to visit tar pits, or make a left and visit the seal rookery and bluffs
Tar stocked to your feet. Friend of mine takes it off (removes) with either cooking oil (olive) Or toothpaste. Tar comes from the ocean. Sometimes you can see how it comes up from the ground (if I am correct). Next time: no barefoot And wear old shoes!!!
Free, it's more like a hiking trail
In addition to the campground in the park, there are also motels and hotels in walking distance from the park.
Yes. There is an assigned area for trailers. Just above the shore. (1 minute walk)
I don't think so. I didn't see anyone fishing.
