Honestly, one of the best parks we’ve been to in Western North Carolina — well-manicured lawns, great fields, terrific pet areas and waste stations. It’s so nice to have a place, close to home, to take our dog and feel safe and have plenty of room to run around.

The place was easy to find and access. Paths are layered with very fine white gravel which makes them easy to traverse without worrying about falling or twisting an ankle. Bathrooms are accessible and open the entire time the park is and the best part is that it isn't terribly crowded too often. Yes, it's a public park, but many nooks and crannies are a bit more private for when I'd like to get away and journal for a while in the shade. Geese and other wildlife frequent the paths and ponds and there are benches placed in areas for optimal viewing. The park is well maintained and almost always free of litter which is a big pet peeve of mine. It's a wonderful place to take the kids to get energy out on the playground or bike along the paths. One lap I believe is either just shy or just over a mile and there are many intersecting paths to make your journey easier if you're looking for a quick jaunt or jog. People are polite and friendly but generally keep to themselves which is a plus. I highly recommend visiting here to help support the local community and get your family or self off the screen and into the world. 5/5 stars well earned!!!!

Great place for the entire family. Playground for young and big kids and lots of walking paths through nature.

This is a beautiful family park. It’s a park for folks of all ages. It has a huge parking lot, a lot of picnic tables, shaded areas to sit and relax. They have very well kept trails and beautiful foliage. The playground is fantastic! Your children have plenty of places to run and play, fly kites and explore. You can bring your pets here too. Plenty of picnic areas to choose from. They even have cute brochures for children. Best park by far. It’s clean and taken care of.

The hours posted on Google Maps and Search are wrong. The park is open dawn to dusk, 365 days per year.
Signs are posted regarding no fishing in the ponds. The ponds are maintained as a natural habitat. Fishing is permitted in King Creek.
The park is not very big, its total circumference is only one and a half miles! You can practically see the entire park from the parking lot.
Yes. There is a LOT of room for bike-riding there. Plenty of people go biking here, many of them go with their children.
There are some paved but mainly small gravel trails. The trails are flat and there are benches along the way if you want to rest or just enjoy the beauty of the park.
Go to the Patton Skate park. It's free clean and you can use the bathroom at the pool.
No, but it's a great playground, and worth checking out.
Its a natural flood plain so there is a lot of moisture accumulation within the park. But on a nice day there is much to see and vibe off of. Plenty of blue birds and red wing black birds have congregated there. Even bat boxes for the natural habitat.
