Long wait on a Thursday night (45 min) Our waitress was very good. Even gave my great niece ice cream for her upcoming birthday. Food was really good. We were pleasantly surprised. The extra time was put to good use. My niece was able to walk around and pick out her own birthday gift. The girl that worked the gift shop floor went above and beyond by going into the back stock room to get her the sleeping puppy ( King Charles Springer Spaniel) she wanted. We had breakfast for dinner. Had not done that in a long time. All in all it was a great family night out.

Yesterday, I made the mistake of wanting to get breakfast at this Cracker Barrel. My wife and I were traveling for a wedding and stopped here for breakfast. We were told that it's be a 20 minute wait. This was fine and easily fit into our schedule. 45 minutes later I asked if we were about to be seated and found out they forgot about us. They immediately took us to a table. During this wait, I visited the restroom. It was disgusting, it smelled bad, and had no hand soap. We sat at the table for 15 minutes before our waitress came over to us. Then 25 minutes after ordering we were told they were running behind in the kitchen. At this point we explained why we had to leave without eating. Instead we had to grab food from Burger King down the road.

Hash brown casserole was delicious. Eggs and grits were ok. Coffee was too weak and ordered an expresso drink to take it up q notch. Was nice to sit across the fireplace while waiting on my late breakfast.
