We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2022 and I usually don't leave reviews. I read the other reviews and it was mixed, but a lot of recent negative reviews. I honestly don't know how to explain my disappointment in this campground. First off, if you have rules about not bringing your own golf cart (because they have campground rentals), not bringing in external firewood, posted speed limits of 10-mph, etc then you really should do something to try and enforce your rules. Even my neighbor had his personal golf cart, great to know as I would have brought mine but I thought hey, there's a rule so I didn't. Apparently I could have brought my own golf cart and firewood since nobody enforces the rules. Speed limit of 10 was definitely not enforced, watch out when you step around your camper or you'll get run over! Hard to relax at your campsite with that much traffic, and speeding traffic at that! The mini-golf course from the 1980's hasn't been maintained, it's in terrible shape. The arcade is ok, if a lot of the machines weren't broken. The pool, well good luck if you're staying on a weekend because everyone from all around the local area is apparently on a day pass to come to the pool. And again, they have no control over who is in the pool area, supposed to have an arm band but no rule enforcement there. Monkey pox, is that what the young man with the rash all over his body in the pool had? Heck, we'll find out I guess. One of our neighbors had to leave on the 2nd day because their 30-amp power kept going out at the campground main breaker box, which required an employee to go reset and was hours each time. Seems that blasting loud music from your campsite is acceptable here too. The bath houses were not terrible. The fishing pond is catch-and-release which is nice, although I don't know if anyone ever caught anything. The paddle boats we never could get on because big groups of kids had them as fishing and swimming platforms (but there's a rule saying no swimming in the lake??). On the high side, the store was nice and not overpriced and the store employees were friendly.

Reservation on July 19th and 20th for family, 1 adult and 1 child...stayed in Cabin C101. Child woke up saying that she was being bit by a bee. She is 12 years old and has Down Syndrome so all insects/bites are bees. Had over 150 bites from sleeping in the bottom bunk. Called, emailed, sent pictures of her bites, took her back over for them to see Thursday afternoon. They NEVER once made contact with us. Friday still no contact so visited them again. We were told "not getting a refund" .."how did they know we didn't already have bites/etc" We have pictures of granddaughter from Wednesday on their boat dock, paddle boat and pool area showing clear skin!! But this is the say that today Monday July 25th in a follow up to my complaint with the Health Dept and their inspection.....Evidence of bedbug and infestation found in the cabin!!! Its public record!!! Health Dept cant make you be responsible for my granddaughter pain and suffering, the expense of her doctor and treatment but let see if I even get to post that the resort did the right thing!!!

I've had a camper there the last 2 seasons and I absolutely love it. The couple that runs it was my neighbor and the are both the nicest people I have ever met. I'm so lucky to get to know them both. I can not say enough good things about Lakeridge, if you haven't come there, you are certainly missing out.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Lake Ridge. Loved our site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we found that could use improvement was the Putt Putt golf course. A lot of the carpet was loose. Some of the concrete broken. And some of the wood needed replaced and painted. Some of the black tees to hold the balls were missing. The loose carpet affected the game. Could use some more lighting. Would love to see this repaired.
