Don’t let the other reviews with photos of the lake sites. Most are not lake view, and are crowded and small. At least mine was. Mosquitoes were so bad we could not go outside. No water, no power, no showers in the bathhouses. This should just be a primitive tent place only. Rvs should not be there. Also as most parks in the area 60% of the reserved spots sit empty. I saw so many with the tag showing they were in the middle or end of the reservation and they were empty. Now that being said, the camp host was the nicest man I have met in Oregon. He graciously allowed us a spot. He allowed us a night in a reserved spot that sat empty and saved us. We slept and left at 8am.

Very well cared for campground. Excellent views throughout the day especially at sunrise and sunset. Midsummer has very few bugs.

Great campground. A large one, but laid out so well you would never know it. Large camp sites (we easily fit 4 tents on ours), vault toilets and potable water spigots available. Diamond lake is beautiful and warm for its size, and Crater Lake is an easy drive from there. We didn't realize how many great, paved bike trails there would be, so we didn't bring bikes. We will certainly go back, so next time we will bring them! Sadly we had to leave early due to the nearby fires/smoke, but had a wonderful time when the air quality was good.

We had a blast. I rated it at 4 stars because the mosquitoes were really bad and the water system was not working. It's still a beautiful campground with great kayaking and a paved bike path all the way around the lake. Our spot (B4) says it will fit a 30' trailer, but getting in and out is really tight. Ours is 28'. Most of the back in spots will work, but B4 is a chore for a bumper pull. It also has complete shade. All of the sites on B loop have easy access to the water.

Thanks. That's what I thought but knowing is better than guessing!
Yes
Just have to make sure that the site you are in has trees that would be good for a hammock, just make sure yours has a mosquito net!
I have been told that the camp host at thielsen at Dimond Lake gets paid ?
