Really cute spot! Bathrooms were clean and not coin operated, just small. Man made pond and some artsy areas to hang out. Ice is available at the front office. Make sure you're in/out during office hours, they lock a gate. Wifi available, but only 1 outlet available in the showerhouse to charge your phone if you're tenting it.

Unique and welcome spot to camp at after a long day driving. Really nice staff. Clean facilities and secure with a monitored and gated entry. Nice grounds to walk around complete with outdoor art and an oasis!

I’ve been coming here with family for the past 11 years. My kids have grown up coming here. We have met many interesting people from all over the world at this spot. We’ve seen this campground come a long way and it never disappoints each and every trip. We just got back from our yearly Easter trip. This year they had an Easter egg hunt around the lake for all the kids at the campsite. I hope the egg hunt turns into a tradition. I have also been here during one of the stargazer/astronomy events. There were vendors, musical talent, and astronomers. We were able to learn so much from them while also having the privilege to look through their telescopes. My kids will never forget the man who taught them about sculpting with clay. I included a few picture of some of the things I thought were cool. If you can’t go camping in the monument then you should definitely make this a spot to stay at. If you did get lucky and get a spot inside the monument well then you have to go back to JT and stay here.

Such a great place to camp! Joshua Tree Park and its surrounding campsites are ALWAYS full. Joshua Tree Lake is an awesome place to camp...with great views of the night sky...clean restrooms and showers...and awesome art, a lake, and great prices. Not to mention it is only about 15 minutes from Joshua Tree Park. When I am in the area and I need a place to camp this is my go to spot. Plenty of open space to set up a tent or multiple tents, a telescope, or astrophotography rigs. I highly recommend Joshua Tree Lakes

I have not heard of any age limit for RVs. I think they wouldn't want a run down or blighted RV rolling in.
I would call, they may have restrictions on use, they have full hookups
I have to go to the office and pay 10.00 for the day.
No, you can't go in the water, you wouldn't want to anyway.
Hi there! Yes, each campsite is equipped with a table and fire barrel.
They have full hookup spots that can support 30-40' trailers IIRC. I had a 34' there fully hooked up.
Yes there are shower facilities on site
Can't swim in Joshua Tree Lake, sorry
Hello No, swimming is NOT permitted in our fishing lake. Thank you
Hi Tracy, Yes, we are allowing some Tent and Car Camp to stay with us in the tenting section. Give us a call at (760)366-1213 ext 6 and we can answer your questions. Thanks
The sites seem very long.
Thanks everyone. Nothing on the website; I'll call to check.
They will leave an envelop at the office. You can check in in the morning
There are full hookups at this campground. Not sure about availability, try calling directly. When I went a few weeks ago there were many sites without hookups available.
Hello Yes, our dump facility is open to the public from 9 AM to sunset daily (except when we have events taking place - see our website for blackout dates) and the cost is $20/ dump and $3/ 60 Gallons for water fill-up. Thank you
Yes hot showers are available to all campers although during special events such as the may music festival they may be crowded or delays
No site has full hookups. Only water and 30 amp electric.
For RVs you need a reservation; not sure for tent camping, but I would assume so. Visit http://www.joshuatreelake.com for more info
Yes
There are bbq pits
I believe there is, my son inquired for a friend and the attendant at the RV park dsid there was designated areas within 5 miles or so.
Or you could just make a right to the dry lake bed and camp for free. Just don't dump your grey water. But feel free to take a #2 on a catus.
They also host the Bequinox in March and the women's ride out.
There are a few businesses in the area that offer this service. We recommend looking online through Google. Be sure to let us know if you plan on doing this so we can inform the driver of the proper check-in procedure
