Great dispersed camp site. The time we were there had some wind storm. Dust everywhere. Quiet at night. People far away from each other. Shame we weren't able to setup tent. Instead we stayed in our campervan. Road to get in is a bit washed board. Will come again!

Easily accessible (although bumpy) even if you don't have a 4WD. There's practically unlimited space, so no need to worry about coming late. It was fairly noisy at night (people blasting loud music, riding dirt bikes, and even fireworks...?) so consider bringing ear plugs. The scenery and atmosphere was a mix of the movies Mad Max and The Hills Have Eyes.

For what it is it's pretty wonderful. Easy access to Joshua Tree and magnificent national park. Easy access to grocery store in Twentynine Palms. Quiet unless there is some jerk playing as radio too loud like last night but overall very quiet. And free. The bad news is it is secluded desert. The good news is it is secluded desert.

We were going to stay at the near by park until we saw this area. Kind of a pain to get into with the major washboard on the roads coming in but so worth it. Dry camping in a gorgeous area for free plus you can go ride. Can't beat it!! We will be staying here again.
