I went there when I was younger and still have family that stay there every year. Great place for family camping

This place was the quietest, most peaceful campground we’ve ever been to! Our normal go to campground was booked for the weekend, so we stumbled upon this gem and we just fell in love. We rented a rustic cabin at an amazing rate (normal price, no specials or anything). The rustic cabin was graciously appointed with heat, A/C (for a nominal daily fee), small refrigerator, small tv with a few channels....We’ve paid more to tent camp at other spots. Cabins are close to immaculate bathrooms/shower house....Close to an extremely well stocked camp store, snack bar/ice cream stand within the store had many selections.....and the pop corn with extra butter, oh good lord! The staff was super friendly and very helpful....due to a bad back and physical limitations the staff was more than willing to help us with our firewood....it was just an awesome, awesome experience. We even tried to book the same cabin the next weekend, but unfortunately they were booked. Either way, we’ll be back in the summertime next year and we absolutely cannot wait!

Everytime we need a campground to go to this place is ALWAYS a available and accommodating. The best thing about this campground is the fellow campers seem to follow the quiet hour rules. I rarely witness this at any other campground besides state parks. If you're looking for peace quiet and a nice place to camp this is the place. The ONLY drawback is there are no sewer hookups.

I found this campground 4 years ago and camped here because it was close to the county fair. I have come back every year since. The Staff is great- helpful, accommodating, and always pleasant. My family and I have stayed using the 4 weekend only package so we are not permanent campers. None the less everyone has always been friendly and respectful of one another. This is a decent family oriented, well run, peaceful place to relax and enjoy life. (Even if it is only 4 to 6 weekends a summer) I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the special greeting campers get from Lilly the owner’s beautiful white Golden doodle. ...Truly this place is a Gem in the Mountains... This past year (2018) we got a permanent site. Loved every minute we could spend at the campground. It is late fall now and getting cold. Can't wait for the spring to return. Everyone has been so friendly, just a wonderful relaxed atmosphere.
