Really 4.5 stars! I had a lovely time here. It was early in the summer season so it was pretty quiet, which was great. Not much was open, but that was ok. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I had my big dog with me and that was no issue at all. My room had a wonderful view, a balcony and the mountain stream below was fantastic. The room was pretty spacious and the mini kitchen was a plus. I was meandering in my travels and my initial reservation was for one night but I ended up staying 3! I only took a half star off because the mattress is overdue for replacing. Will definitely go back!

We booked this last minute for a quick overnight on our way to Utah. It was even better than we expected! Room was so cute, clean and perfect for a quick stay with a family of four. If we stayed longer, or for a ski trip, I would prefer a bigger room with a sofa. The location was amazing! We will definitely stay here again!

It was very quiet as it was off season, which was nice. However, the gas fireplace was turned off. I called to get instructions to turn it on, but it didn't work. I was really looking forward to glass of wine with the fireplace as it was a little chilly for me. They said I could turn on the heater by the front door, but that did not work. Luckily, it was not that cold. Also, the hot tub was not available due to the off season. They said you can walk over there to another one, but it seemed more of a hassle. The toilet ran constantly. It would have been nice to have a list of things that were open when we arrived. I probably won't return. Too many things didn't work, and it was not represented as it was in the advertising.

We had a great stay here at Alpine. The last time we came to Taos we stayed off the mountain and it was annoyingly inconvenient if you’re there on a ski trip, so this time we decided to stay on the mountain and the location of Alpine was SUPER convenient for skiers. Their partnership with the ski shop was a plus too!!! We had first time skiers with us and the rental process with them was very good (Comes with a discount and the staff were very knowledgeable about fitting) Alpine also have an on site locker room for ski’s and gear with boot and glove dryers. The front desk guy and girl were very nice and helpful and they had complimentary sleds so we could take kids sledding along with our dog. They are a pet friendly place too, which allowed us to bring our furry family member. The spa and sauna were perfect for the end of the day after skiing all day. The spa area was in a very cool location outside but in a courtyard type setting with a fireplace. The sauna was just inside next to the spa and it was all very enjoyable and relaxing. Alpine Village made our family ski trip very enjoyable and convenient and we will definitely stay again and recommend to others looking for an “on the mountain” ski lodging
