Southwest Bicycles is a fantastic shop! From customer service to product offerings, I had nothing but the best experience shopping there for my first adult e-tricycle. I hadn't been on a bicycle of any kind since I was 10 years old, and, having moved to a 55+ active community I had been looking for a low cost way to get around to the various activities offered. I had heard how some bike shops were on the rude side to customers who weren't "bikers", so I was a bit nervous about the potential treatment I was going to receive. Happily, my worries went away from the first interaction I had with the staff. Jeff, the owner, helped me select the perfect bike for my short frame, and, since it was a manual bicycle, reassured me that it could be converted to an e-trike and they would be happy to do so. He let me test ride the bike to get a feel for it, and it felt very comfortable. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I ended up buying the trike. Delivery would be scheduled once the trike had been converted to an e-trike. Due to back to back medical issues, I ended up having to delay the delivery of the trike. I called and explained the situation, and they said it was no problem, I could call back anytime I was ready to reschedule the delivery. Finally, two months later (!), I was able to do so, and Nedemiah (I hope I am spelling his name correctly!), delivered the trike after hours and set it the various safety components that I had purchased. He showed me how to turn on and off the electrical component and showed me how to hook it up to the charger. He answered any questions I had and was super nice! The safety flag that I had purchased was missing from the initial delivery, so Nedemiah very kindly said he would stop by the after work to deliver and install it for me. Meanwhile I had taken the trike out for a spin around the neighborhood to get used to it, and toward the end of the ride the motor quit. With half an hour to closing time, I called the shop and spoke to Michael, who, apparently is the resident e-bike wiz, and he very patiently walked me through how to restart it. It worked! Despite getting close to closing time, he never was impatient and was very courteous throughout. As a result, he made an extra sale of two mirrors and a bell, which were later that day delivered and installed by Nedemiah along with the flag. If I could give 10 stars to Southwest Bicycles I would. They deserve it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asked me if I knew of a a first rate bicycle shop. Happily, I can say I do now!

This is a great bike shop. Full disclosure I have had their mechanics do various repairs on my road and mountain bikes and I have bought accessories through SWB. I have not bought a bike from them yet. Their shop is top notch. Quality work done quickly. The mechanics will actually talk to you and answer questions. I'm an AZ native and have been a customer at bike shops all over town. SWB is well managed, honest, friendly and only does the work you need. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Wonderful Shop. Called Wednesday and ordered a bike over the phone. Asked for Blue with Slime in the tires. A front basket and a rack on the back. Drove down today and picked it up. Neat and clean shop.
