Wasn’t disappointed. This place lives up to every expectation. I visit every Diners Drive-ins and dives in every area I visit. It’s my Gold standard. Carmine was incredible,service and food was above and beyond expectations. Believe it or not all we talked about was are experience and food this morning all day long. Last day before leaving We hit it again to try a few different other menu items. Just as fantastic Guy if your back in this area again this would be a do over. I Picked up a bottle of there specialty sauce on the way out.

The food at Perks is normally pretty good. This last visit wasnt. The bacon was burnt for all of us to the point we didn't eat it. The eggs were a little thick and the potatoes had a funny taste. Almost as if the grease was old. On a good note, the service at Perks is always good. I just know to be specific about the bacon and eggs and no Potatoes.

I ordered the ricotta lemon curd "stuffed" French toast. Unfortunately, it did not meet up to my expectation or it's description. Although the bread was thick and soft, the lemon curd was barely noticeable. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed his Belgian waffle and crisp bacon.

My husband and I ate here twice while visiting the area for vacation. We had pumpkin pancakes. They were good but VERY sweet. They need to be a stack of two with something savory on the side to break it up instead of a stack of 3 pancakes with no sides. I would've loved bacon with them. We also had the bacon breakfast tacos, twice. They were so good! The salsa/sauce was amazing! My husband had the lemon honey ricotta French toast once and said it was good and not overly heavy, which he liked. We also had a kiwi mimosa and the a Good Morning coffee drink. The mimosas was good and the coffee tasted like a Hershey's Kiss in a cup. The staff was very friendly and the owner was really nice to talk to as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it felt a little on the pricey side to us, but that seems to be a part of the Kierland area of Scottsdale, not just this restaurant.
